With the season coming to a close, will the last day of the season bring a high draft pick or a win?

It has been a season of disappointments for the Cowboys, and as they head into their final game on Sunday, that's unlikely to change.

Either the Cowboys win and disappoint all those fans looking for a high draft pick in the 2016 NFL draft, or they lose and disappoint all those fans hoping for a win against the division-rival Commanders.

Funny thing is, many fans want both - a win and a high draft pick, while knowing full well that they can't have both.

If you had to pick, which would you rather have, the high pick or the win?

Most of our writers go with the win but wouldn't be terribly upset if the Cowboys ended up with a high draft pick.

Without further ado, here are our picks for Week 17, 2015.

draft pick easily. I'd rather be picking ahead a possible 4 positions + each round.

I'd LOVE to see Dallas sweep the Washington Football Team.

...but a higher draft pick would be nicer.

No and a win here would even be more pointless than before. It won't hurt the Deadskins at all. They don't even care about this game.

We need a win and it is always sweet to get one against the Commanders, any time and any place. Go Cowboys.

Always the better draft pick in this scenario. But come game time, I know I will be pulling for a win.
Especially against the Commanders for a sweep

I'll be pulling for a win myself... from San Diego. As far as this turd fest game, lose by 50 for all I care. Maybe that will be enough embarrassment for some changes.

I usually want to beat a team at full strength.................beating a team that is starting their 2nd and 3rd teamers because they don't want to risk injury playing in a meaningless game is not what a call a quality win.

What exactly is there to get excited or be happy over?............Whoopie, we beat a team full of backups while their starters watched from the sidelines!!!

Yea, I would be real proud of a win like that.

I'm watching just to see the defense. Can D. Lawrence "stack" another good performance? Gregory...where are you? Can Hardy can get those 2 sacks for the $$$? B.Jones....we need to see if you can show something at FS, big guy. T. Mitchell or Olatoye need to prove that those INTs were no fluke. I also desperately want to see what that fat-butt Casey Walker can do at 1-DT (didn't really see much last game). And finally, I hope (but don't expect) to see our two rookie LBs in D.Wilson and Nzeocha ('German Nachos') see a few snaps...even if at S/T.

The Offense can get bent for all I care. Well...it would be nice to see what Butler can do and to see Bailey kick a 60+ yarder. Okay...I'm lying, I also want to see if Moore can assume his ultimate Saiyan form, like Floaty contests he can do, and give us some Drew Brees moments. But ultimately, chalk me up as a fan that wants to see an entertaining, hard fought war that ends in yet another heartbreaking loss at the last minute (just to stick another pin in the voodoo doll).

I will flip if we win-a win hurts the team way more than it helps in the long run,

I bad mouthed the lose rooters when we still had a chance, but I'll take the better draft choice.

That said, if a win would keep the skins out of the playoffs, I'd pull for the win.

Win or lose, the Cowboys are out and the Commanders are in. This makes it a meaningless game and a hollow victory if we win. If losing gives us a better draft pick then I play the cheerleaders in lingerie and at least entertain the ticket buyers with 60 minutes of something worth watching on the field.

I'm not sure whether Cousins et al. are going to play, but it's still the Commanders and I don't want the Cowboys to wind up 1-7 at home. So, from my perspective, a win would be good.

Although I can understand the thought process behind it, I personnally can't fathom having the attitude some of you guys have, which is to root against the Cowboys this week.

That being said, I believe if that is the case with you (rooting against the Cowboys), then I think you should do it away from this place. Openly rooting against the Cowboys on a Cowboys fan forumn is wrong.
