Cowboys play a complete game and completely dismantle the 49ers.
After the bye week, the Dallas Cowboys finally came out and did what was expected of them. They made a bad team look even worse as their complete performance completely dismantled the competition.
It started with a three-and-out for the Cowboys but that was nothing but a blip on the radar. The Cowboys weren’t happy with those three plays so Kavon Frazier decided to do something about it on the punt:

Two plays later, the Cowboys put the ball in the end zone. It was a quick three and out for the 49ers and then Ezekiel Elliott went back to work:

The run was the opening of the flood gates for the Cowboys and it carried over to the entire squad. For example, David Irving’s sack on third-and-11 that forced the 49ers to punt it back:

The Cowboys went right back to work making mincemeat of the 49ers defense. A 12-play possession ended the only way it should end with another touchdown, this time Dak Prescott connects with Jason Witten.

With Dan Bailey straining his groin, the Cowboys failed on the two-point try but it really didn’t matter all that much. Tyrone Crawford leveled Beathard again for another Cowboys sack.

Down 20-3, the 49ers would get one last shot to get some points before the half. They were driving but Demarcus Lawrence put a stop to any hope San Fran had. This would be a sack-strip-fumble recovery giving the Cowboys their second takeaway of the game.

After the half, it was just more of the same for the struggling 49ers team. They had to punt it right back and then the Cowboys broke their will on this one:

After another San Fran three-and-out, Prescott decided to add a few more for good measure.

Right before the fourth quarter could begin, Jaylon Smith gets in on the action. With Sean Lee and Anthony Hitchens side-by-side, Smith got to play a role. That role was great here with a sack-strip heard around the world. He swiped his way into our hearts and gave the Cowboys’ their third takeaway.

It was an eight-play drive for the Cowboys that ended with Dez Bryant joining “Bullet” Bob Hayes with 71 touchdown grabs.

The 49ers would finally get a score later in the fourth quarter but lost 40-10 in a rout that had the broadcast guys talking about anything other than football at the start of the quarter. In mop-up duty, Cooper Rush and Rod Smith came out to close up shop. Rod Smith even had this great play:

It was exactly what the doctor ordered for the Dallas Cowboys and they put this one away with ease. Now, the Cowboys have a big divisional matchup with the Commanders coming up. The Cowboys look like the team that we thought they could be, now it’s time to build on that.
Which play was your favorite?
