After eight weeks of play, 22 of the league's 32 teams are within one win of a playoff spot -- either via the wild card or a division crown. At the halfway mark of the season, almost nothing is clear.
And even for the teams with a slow start, there's still a lot of football to be played: Since 2000, 32 teams have reached the halfway point of their season with a .500 or below winning percentage and proceeded to the playoffs, including at least one in each season. Of those 32 clubs, five have advanced to the Conference Championship Game, including the 2001 New England Patriots, who won Super Bowl XXXVI.
But for the Cowboys to be one of those teams, they'll need to get create some separation in the NFC East, and this week just might be an opportunity for that: In an absolute schocker, our BTB writers panel has the Cowboys as unanimous picks over the Vikings. At the same time, the Eagles and Commanders are projected to lose their games.
Here are our picks for Week 9, 2013.
