BTB:What Brian Shottenhiemer brings to the table that Garrett and McCarthy did not

Jones told us that it was the comfort that they had with him that stood out.

I don't care what random fan wishcasts.

I heard rumors that Schotty sent Dak an email and told him to reply with listing 5 things he did this week and gave him only an hour to respond otherwise be considered resigned. What a mean coach!!

A spine? No, that can't be it. Those are surgically removed before Jerry even thinks of hiring them.

lol. From the article
  • JASON GARRETT - TRUST THE PROCESS
  • MIKE MCCARTHY - TRUST THE QUARTERBACK
  • BRIAN SCHOTTENHEIMER - KNOW THE PROCESS
So, Schottenheimer will succeed because his predecessors depended on trust. They failed because they did not know how to construct a winning team that everyone understands.

No one could possibly make this <expletive> up.
He'll succeed because this is the most money he's ever made by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously we're all speculating, but the one thing It appears that he has which they did not, is the ability to see where he needs improvement and seemingly taking steps to strengthen those areas. I say that because as OC he's had a few top 5 rushing teams with NY and Seattle, BUT he did not hang his hat on that and allow his ego to get in his way. He signed Adams who is more a creative run scheme guy. He saw that oline as a whole was weak, so he threw more coaching at it with Riley. When he says he wants more presnap motion, we can only hope he is not full of it, like Mike and will really push that. None of this means he'll be a good leader or a quality game manager, but that is different than the guys we've had.

Dude was brought in to install a "power run game" and the run game got objectively worse and once it was bad, there was no obvious attempt to fix what was broken.

BS might end up being Dallas' worst head coach.
