BTB: Why the Dallas Cowboys are Firmly in the Mix for NFCE Crown

Convo I had on Twitter (I think it was there):

Someone pumping up Dak: “His record against Washington is 11-2 over his career.”

Me: “EVERYONE’S record against Washington was 11-2 over Dak’s career lol…”
What was Daniel Jones?

yes and I dont mean to belittle dak, I just think it is stupid to say he has dominated really bad teams
in the past.

doesnt ,matter, he was on crappy giants teams with really bad HC's his whole career.
He will be starter I think for colts this season, and they arent exactly a good team, but curious
to see what he does there.
Dak is a good qb, lets see how he does this season, can be good again?

There is the SB champions and the NFC Championship runner up in our division

So anyone thinking we should win it are total fools

How about taking a look. They have added a lot talent and 17 new coaches that have energy.
I’ve looked, and while the new coaches and added energy sound great, I’m still not convinced this offseason moved the needle. Talent was added sure, but it was just more of the same, 1st round washouts from other teams, guys coming off major injuries, or just plain jags. They didn’t make many impactful moves in the trenches — which has been a weakness for years. Coaching changes can help, but without significant upgrades in the roster where it really matters, it feels like more of the same. Pickens could be a very nice upgrade but his history as a complaining hot head is a little worrisome. You still have an overrated QB that doesn't show up in big games vs quality opponents and RB's, that IMHO look like a hot mess, LB doesn't look much better. Honestly you could throw CB into that category too. I’ll believe the “new energy” means something when it shows up in January.

Ouch!
Dak is our Achilles swill. We canna change that.
Of paramount concerns are untested RBs and a makeshift defencive line that has not found itself in many years.

Well, he’s 9-4 against Philthy.
