This would not surprise me..........quality DC sitting on the sideline. He and MM were in the same division for years......

Two reasons in my opinion.
1) He has coached some very good defenses in the past.
2) He’s a former head coach (like Nolan and Quinn before him) who would effectively be head coach of the defense.

Sean Lee could very well be a great defensive mind ,I remember when he could diagnose where the ball was going.His instincts were off the charts.
