Was I the only one yelling at Garrett (or Linehan or whoever) to do this all game? When they load the box and they are sending a ton of people to stop the run and pressure Dak MAKE THEM STOP. No play does this better than a quick bubble screen out to Beastley (and once they see the bubble screen coming quickly switch to a quick slant to punish their aggressiveness another way). We did nothing to address their aggressiveness, and we are surprised when they Zeke ends up with no yards (in no manner was he good yesterday, but most carries he didn't have a chance).

A few different screens would have been a good thing. I think it might not have mattered since our defense was handicapped by a lack of DB's and that little thing called covering and tackling.

We've gotten better play out of our defense for years by keeping them off the field for large chunks of time... when we are constantly having 3 and outs our defense will play worse.

Screens, and just generally involving Elliott in the passing game when they were loaded up to take him out of the running game. It's fine if they can single up on all your best wide outs. You get it to whichever of the playmakers is left. That's Dak running it, or putting in Switzer or throwing it to Elliott.

Not sure how much it would have mattered, though. When you have Jason Witten dropping perfect passes in the end zone, it's not your day.
