All sites have the Bucs still mathematically alive for the playoffs, yet I don't get what that math is. Anybody have any insight?

I've messed around with all the different simulators and can't find a scenario that puts them in.

For them to get in, the Forskins would have to tie the Giants and I believe the Pack would have to lose as well. Of course they wou;d also have to win their game.

There's been two ties this year, it could happen.

j/k they're done. They don't deserve to go to the playoffs after losing to the Saints yesterday.

They were a fluke team. They got hot for about a month or so and that's it. They have reverted back to their true identity. Their defense was not as good as so many were hyping them up to be coming into our game.

Due to strength of schedule reasons, their playoff chance also relies on the outcome of the Texans/Titans game.

They're done. It's all about Washington/Detroit/Green Bay tomorrow.

All (no exceptions) of the following must happen for the Buccaneers to reach the playoffs:

Noon Games
  • The Panthers lose to the Buccaneers
  • The Texans lose to the Mariota-less Titans
  • The Jaguars lose to the Colts
  • The Cowboys lose to the Eagles
3:30 PM Games
  • Washington ties the Giants
  • The Seahawks lose to the 49ers
Sunday Night Football
  • The Packers lose to the Lions
The trainers will be handing out Xanax to the players all game long. The most merciful thing that could happen is for them to know they have been bounced from the playoffs before the end of their game with the Panthers. Of course, ANYTHING is possible...
