If JJ believes the window is now to win a SB and MM loses tonight, make no mistake, he will be fired this week and Sean Payton and his staff will be here. We just lack a couple better pieces in the secondary and the dline. We are very close. Can we win 2nite and next week? Sure, but it aint likely. We lack quality at DE and cb. We are thin. But as we see with Daboll and the Giants, a solid staff and HC makes a world of difference.

I do not think so. Sean is not an upgrade to MM. unless he is just really good friends with Jerry I do not see it. Sean had one of best NFL QB in history for many many years and only one SB.

The giants winning has zero to due with the cowboys. The fans here (not you specifically) need to stop having an inferiority complex with the giants. I also will bet heavily that Mike McCarthy will not be fired even if they lose this game.
only way he saves his job if we lose, is if it was some weird fluke. If we win its moot. JUST WIN GUYS!

I agree, but what we are saying is, this is how JERRY may see it and react. His stats are identical to MM. DQ is good as gone I think btw. Denver wants him bad. Vic Fangio to replace DQ would be a great hire.

You think Payton wants to be a figurehead coach?

he may not start or play actually. He might be the reserve center.
Oh he’s going to start. Nick Leverett, who has started the past nine contests at left guard and was also the primary backup to Hainsey at center, is dealing with knee and shoulder ailments and did not practice on Thursday or Friday. John Molchon, a reserve option at both center and guard, sustained an ankle injury in Atlanta. Leverett is listed as doubtful to play on Monday night and both Hainsey and Molchon are questionable for the game

The negativity……..
again, as a fan since the early 70's, u learn when its ok to rip the band aid off and call things as we see them. One may call it negative, but is it really negative when its true? The team has the ability to change hearts and minds by winning a game or 2. But after 27 years of tough talk and promises by the team, we have become a bit numb I guess and need shown proof that things have indeed improved and changed. We been duped way too many times to take the cheese again. NO MORE. Call me a skeptic fan. Just win baby.

that all depends on the situation he feels ok with. How much say he has on hires etc. I think their can be some give and take.
I suppose it’s possible, but it would shock me. Payton is a guy that probably wants a certain degree of control. I can’t see him wanting to go to the place with the least amount of it.

Even less likely is JJ wanting someone who would take the majority of the credit for any success

I hear the ownership in AZ is stingy and wants 100% say over the staff and team. I cant see him going there. The chargers are cheap and wont hire him and give up picks. That leaves Dallas and Carolina, Indy. I see Carolina as a great fit. MM is on a very hot seat.

I too have been a fan since the 70s. I realize our “issues”, but I just don’t see the need to continuously harp on them. It’s just exhausting to keep seeing it is all. Go Cowboys.
