I went to Disneyland during the Spring Breaks of 2004 and 2005 (4th and 5th grade respectively). I enjoyed it. The weather was nice, and it was fun. My favourite memory (along with the rollercoaster on the other side) was the Fantasia play they did by the water. THAT was cool.
Oh yes, Fantasia is amazing! Did you get to do Indiana Jones? At that time you still had the submarine ride, did you go on that? Tom Sawyers Island? Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Small World, Star Tours, Space Mountain, Toon Town... it's all incredible

Yuppers! I did Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Small World, and a several others. I don't remember doing Tom Sawyer's Island (though, it'd be cool if they play this song there).

What's great about Disneyland is that it's an American icon. When people think of entertainment, Disney usually comes to mind (like my avatar lol). Disneyland is one of the most iconic travel attractions, and it is fun.

You know? Just my rambling about this now, but I always felt that the Rams should have built their stadium near Disneyland and had one of the monorails connect to the stadium. Then, you can make your stadium Disney themed. Now THAT would have been cool!

It is Disneyland and then the rest.

Disneyland captures your childhood, your imagination, if you're with a date - your romanticism. It has rides with thrill, rides with memories of childhood. Battered corndogs as large as your county fair, Star Wars, families, happiness.

Magic Mountain is a bunch of teenagers with raging hormones trying to get at their date. Fun rides, but forgettable. I guess it would be different for folks that didn't live 20 mins away from it.

Knotts is amazing, but at a fraction of which that is Disneyland. Still, Knotts is quaint, has its western charm, and is vastly more fun and rewarding than Six Flags.

Disneyland is the standard. It is nostalgia. It's our childhood put into life. I can never get enough. Haven't had season passes since 2009, but I chaperoned a trip with my son and some of his friends in 2015. I've been around 30-40 times, easily. It never, ever gets old. If you have a woman you are smitten over, it is the peak of happiness. If you are with your wife and children, it is heavenly. Even alone (I've never done this but I would), it would be pure magic, man.

Noted, my friend. Thanks for taking the time out to inform me!!!

I don't need to step one foot outside this country, as there are so many amazing things to see here.....but I'd like to go to Kenya some day on safari. I'd also like to see Machu Picchu.
Right there with ya and very ironic. My parents recently retired and are now going to a different worldly destination once a year or so. Last year they went to Machu which has always been towards the top of my list.

Anyways, they wanted and offered to pay for my wife and myself to go to Africa with them next year. As cool as it would be, I said thanks but no thanks for a variety of reasons plus there are so many great places here in the U.S that I would love to see. Hiking and camping out with a guide in Glacier National Park before all the glaciers melt and therefore less waterfalls, creeks, etc would be towards the top U.S wise.

I wanna go hiking with you, fam :(

If you ever make it out to Cali, I have a lot of spots, and would be borderline sad that you didn't connect with me (guilt trip, Brad :) )

I told ya man, if and when next time I get out there I’ll holla at you for sure. Hell, maybe one day I’ll just go out there during football season, do a few day hikes in the week and wrap up on Sunday watching a Cowboys game. That would be pretty cool, unfortunately I have about a gazillion people all over the country (including a few in CA) that I’ve been talking about seeing for years. I need to sh or get off the pot, life is too short.

BTW, going back to CO to go hiking in a few weeks, I’ll resurrect the pics thread I started after my hikes up there last year. If you get a chance, check this video out. I’ve always envied wildland firefighters, completely different than what I do and harder IMO. They have a memorial trail based on this fire that takes you to all the prominent places in the video plus by the memorial stones where the ff’s fell. I can’t wait but it will be a love and appreciation for my job, history, the outdoors/hiking and people that lost their lives all rolled into one. It will probably be the most emotional hike I ever do. I think the video is really well done, informative and interesting. It takes awhile but I couldn’t stop watching it.

I just found out about this trail a year ago or so. Honestly, knowing what I know now, this would probably be in the top 3 of my bucket list places to go in the U.S.

If you get out here, and have the time, we have each others info, I would love to spend a day with you traversing the Bridge to Nowhere, or Baldy's Summit. I get it that there's too much to do with too little time, Aria.

The offer is open, always.

@Trouty

I second it for Disneyland but Knotts isn't far behind. I love Universal Studios too, I would rank it up there. Six Flags sucks, nothing but parentless kids.
I live right down the block from Universal LOL So, I don't really count it, but yes, UStudios is really fun for out of towners, and folks here, alike. I'm just so burnt out, Dex.

I used to in Woodland Hills but never got tired of it. We bought season passes and went maybe three times :lmao2:
