If we beat Tampa on opening night , fans will be talking Super Bowl. Lol

True, I will say it is an important game to start the season. To go out and beat a team that is expected to go to post season as well as a favorite to get to the SB. A week 1 win is far from the SB but clearly it would be a big confidence boost early on the in season for Dallas. Since critics love to point to these type of games the Cowboys have failed.

I will get positive again once I see Parsons and Sam sacking QB's

Until then all I can think about is that San Francisco game

Yeah that 49ers game still stings. I was stupid enough to shell out $1,500 for 2 tickets to that clown show. I don't know what was more disappointing, the actual game or the number of 49ers' fans in the stadium.

Why does it matter...what inside power rusher of ours is gonna take advantage of it???

Hopefully, Ridgeway. Oh wait, I forgot, according to some on here, NTs aren't important lol. Seriously though, we need Ridgeway and Bohanna to do that. We should also invest in a FA NT.

Sorry if speaking the truth hurts your feelings. If Jerry was really interested in winning a Superbowl he would step aside and hire a TRUE GM and quit living off the glory days of Jimmy Johnson. In the last 25 years Dallas has won 3 playoff games. Let that sink in for a minute. Dallas is averaging 1 playoff win every 8 years for the last 25 years. I love the Cowboys and will always be a true fan but Jerry and Stephen need to step aside and let a true football guru take over. They had the chance to go out and improve a roster that went 12-5 last year. A roster that maybe needed a few moves in free agency to challenge the better teams in the conference. Not only did they sit on their thumbs and not sign anyone but they allowed some players to move on. Meanwhile, our key rival/competition in the division went out and made numerous moves to improve their roster. The only thing that may save us is that they have Jalen Hurts for a QB.

Not hurt at all. Then I stopped reading. As it is probably the same crap we see over and over.

Like you I will be tuned into every Cowboys game this year and rooting hard for them to win. I just wish they would have done more to improve the team this year. We were 12-5 last year. All we needed was for Jerry to get out his checkbook and take some chances. Sign some studs in free agency to put us over the top. But no, they did nothing in free agency and now we are left hoping a bunch of rookies can grow up extremely fast and make an immediate impact.

GB and Pittsburgh did this for years, not getting involved in FA too much, not over paying for FA's. Built through the draft. Relied on rookies improving. Only recently have both been more involved in FA out of necessity. Actually did the Steelers sign any FA's other the than their own this year?

However who was the HC when GB was not over paying FA's, and relying on the draft to win...was not that MM?
I will see what happens this season, then I may be with you and others about over paying aging high profile players next off season. :D

Ugh. I'm sure this won't be the last injury for players.

There isn't a Cowboys fan alive that isn't aware of this.

Dallas will sweep the division again. Egals only look good on paper. And the Jones' will never step aside. Can't get so upset over something you can't control.

It is not that. I look at each season as a new day to move forward. What will this season bring.

What happened in the past 27 years sucks as a fan and not winning. And Yes, Jerry is the common factor. I don't like what they have done for the most part, not all of the time.

However, I can't do anything about it. So I do not dwell on it nor allow it to ruin my daily life. Why whine constantly about it. But I understand people do that sort of thing.
I just try to add some positivity now and then.
Yep, the writing was on the wall for the off season on these forums when that game was lost as it was.

I get the leftover bitterness because few had predicted a 12-5 season. But what was does not have to be what will be.

Hey, I am a Hog. We learned the year-to-year thing a long time ago.

More stupity from Stephen Jones. He’s incompetent & if he wasn’t Jerry’s son he would’ve been fired long ago. He should be replaced immediately. He cut Cooper & almost Tank because he gave them too much money.

This keeps happening over & over again. He’s never won a negotiation Romo, Dak, Zeke their agents rob him blind every time. Next, Parsons!

Say what you will, but at this point they have a good roster. They have a full roster and can sign players as needed like they did yesterday.

Stop rooting for opponents to get injured.

Ya, these are the new Pathetic levels that represent a good percentage of our fans!!
Maybe the Bucs can get a case of the runs prior to kick-off????:muttley:

Crazy how many injuries happen even when they are in shorts and shirts. Keeping fingers crossed we can avoid the freak injuries. Stepping on someone's foot and breaking your own foot for example. Non contact knee injuries. It's cray cray.

I don't wish for injury on any player on any team, however I also do not cry over opponents injuries just as they don't give a flip about our injuries.

Tretter has his own injury issues. But hey, feel the need to build TB up while putting our FO down if it makes you feel better.

He does, but I think the point is that the Bucs would at least try while our front office would be, "Next man up!"
