Let's play a game that will showcase how you would build your team.
Here's how we play, you assign a skill level to each position using a numerical value. The skill chart is as follows:
1- Player is a liability
2- Player is a back-up at best
3- Player is average for his position
4- Player is a solid contributor
5- Player is All-Pro
You only get 68 points to utilize and can only use 22 positions. Feel free to use 4-3 or 3-4, nickel, or 3wr.
Here is my team and also an example.

(CB--2)_(CB--2)_(LB--4)_(LB--2)_(CB--3)

I made a lot of sacrifices for my QB and the trenches. If anyone can come up with an easier to read template, that would be nice, lol..

Somehow, some way, in the very near future, this will become a Dak sux thread.

Btw...how many points for Jerry and Garrett?

I don’t think that gets you a good team. Your no.1 corner and WR are average players. I personally think CB1/WR1 are more important than DT2.

This is a cool game. I think that a 2 is probably more like "average NFL starter," because every team has to have a few of them.

The amount of points used was determined by every position being average which would amount to 66. I decided that was too scarce and added two more points just for fun. My idea was in today's salary cap era, you cant have great players at every position and had to make sacrifices somewhere. When it boils down to it, it just shows the positions the individual poster values the most.
My initial team looked really similar to yours, nice job.

(FS--2)_(SS--2)

(CB--2)_(CB--2)_(LB--3)_(LB--2)_(CB--3)

(DE--5)_(DT--2)_(DT--4)_(DE--5)
- 2 Pro Bowl DE's and a very good DT harass the opposing QB all day.

(WR--3)_(WR--2)_(LT--4)_(LG--3)_(C--3)_(RG--3)_(RT--3)_(TE--1)_(WR--4)

(QB--5)
_(RB--5)
- Pro Bowl QB and RB with a solid line, good LT. Great running game with a solid WR threat outside. Maybe we go with a pure blocking TE that rarely catches the ball.

Interesting take, would like to watch that team.
