I’d be thrilled. Letting coop go and signing Gallup to a bad contract has damaged this offense immensely.
We had to make a decision about whether to pay Gallup to be the No. 2 or keep Cooper as the No. 2. Lamb clearly was becoming the No. 1.Shouldn't have traded Cooper in the first place.
Could have had another top *starting* WR for less money than we spent on Gallup/Schultz that year. Ferguson was ready to take over for Schultz.
That’s what I was thinking….if the rift was with McCarthy and he was cool with Jerry and the rest of the team, I’d take him back as a number 2could happen now that McCarthy is gone.
Buffalo had a running game, a good TE, shakir, colman and kincade as receiving options and a QB that Ran Alot. They really didn't need to rely on Cooper. Not interested
Was a Jag in Buffalo with a better QB
All star material compared to what we got. Lamb gets hurt is a bigger deal breaker than DakAnother question would be:
Do we think he still has anything left in the tank?
I disagree were a fringe team he could easily tip the balance especially with injuries coming into play. Seasons over if Lamb misses any games currently. Was it McCarthy that had a problem with Cooper? Sure sounded as if Jerry was the one who was annoyed at him missing that KC game a few years ago. Not being a “team player” IIRC.
Either way, any of you who want to add players like him had better not be complaining about draft position when they are in line to win 7-8 games instead of 5-6.
Can’t have it both ways, and Amari Cooper doesn’t turn this roster into a playoff one.
The combination getting traded into a scheme he struggled with, and battling a wrist injury, 2024 was a weird year for him.Not interested

At the start of free agency, he was projected at 2y, 25m or moreI'm saying that's what I would offer. He's not playing for vet minimum. We gave Javonte Williams 1-year, $3 million and he hasn't accomplished near as much as Cooper.
Oh, I think his numbers have come way down from that. I could be wrong. I do think he'll want more than $3 million, but that's why I'd offer him an incentive-laden deal.At the start of free agency, he was projected at 2y, 25m or more
Yeah that does concern me. He should have thrived there.
Lol. So why did they give up a 3rd round pick for him?Buffalo had a running game, a good TE, shakir, colman and kincade as receiving options and a QB that Ran Alot. They really didn't need to rely on Cooper.
Cooper was also in a new system whereas the other guys already knew the system.
Cooper just never caught on to the scheme and now Buffalo has new talent. Cooper would be a good fit in Dallas again.
As as its “cheap” see what hes got.I would kick the tires. He is only 30. Bring him in cheap and determine what he has left. He had 1,250 yards in 2023. In 2024 he was in a bad situation in Cleveland and then traded mid year to Buffalo. He never looked comfortable playing in Buffalo. With our depth at WR we need to be exploring every option. Bringing in Cooper doesn’t keep us from continuing to look for an upgrade.
Good route runners don’t need speed. He’s a fine #2 option. Obviously, past his prime. The fact that the team is considering this says everything about where we are at WR.
I don’t dislike Coop. He is an excellent route runner, but he no speed. He won’t instill fear in defenses.
Once again, if you want nice things in the NFL you either have to draft it or pay to get it in FA. Cheap is no way to close the gap between us and the eagles.
