Next Monday night is a division game we must win. Philly will come out swinging and riding the emotion of their home crowd, and know that they are in a must win situation. The 'Boys must weather this storm, and put pressure on a more mobile McNabb, same as they did in Dallas.

I could not agree more. The Cowboys will get the Eagles best shot because they are a desperate team and will be looking to make a statement. I want to see how the Cowboy's respond to this challenge, and hopefully they will punch Philly in the mouth!

Your words strike at the very core of the matter! But is a rival game no longer
for the Eagles -- it's straight business. It isn't a "let's get even," or, "if we do anything, let's beat Dallas" type scenario any more. We need to win at home!

Winning at home is something the Eagles have Been consistent at ...we are currently 4 - 4. Three out of the 4 games we won were at home; all 4 games we lost were on the road!

For those of you who think we don’t have a chance of still making the playoffs …you’re wrong! Thus far, the Eagles have lost to two NFC–East divisional teams (the Cowboys and now the Commanders). Both of those games were “road” games. The way I see it, the Eagles still haven’t played the G-Men (Giants). We still have the opportunity to split with the Cowboys and Skins (and snatch away two victories from the Giants). If we pull off that scenario, it could launch us into the playoffs or a wildcard birth. Eagles play extremely well in Philly (with or without T.O. in the mix).

This will not be a cake walk like it was the last time our two teams met. And, this time, the Eagles are the underdog going in--most of the pressure is on the Cowboys
to win in a "hostile" environment.

Before I forget, congratulations to all of the Commanders' fans on the Zone -- someone said it's the first time you beat us since 1991. Beat us again, and you're on your way to something good against us. But you must get by the Cowboys first!

I don't know Talon, this year we bring the better team to town. Given the way we played them this year and in the final game last year, I really think that Bill has "solved" the Eagles' offense.

I will be at the game, lower level, 40 yard line row 10. Here's hoping that it's like the good old days of the mid 90's, where the fans were exiting en masse by halftime and Cowboys fans were free to roam the stadium!

I have to agree with you, Talon. Philly has looked really bad at times but they still have a lot of good players. They are only two games out of the division with plenty of division games remaining. I won't count Philly out until they're buried. I have too much respect for that team.

That being said, I predict Dallas wins Monday night -- big if they play mistake free.

This is very true. This game will be very different than the game in Dallas. Still, Dallas' defense is better than before, and if Terrell Owens does not play it will be an uphill struggle for Philly. This assumes emotion and turnovers are equal, of course (which they usually are not!).

I agree completely as I stated in another thread. There is a good chance that Reid and TO will work something out this week which will bring somewhat of a truce to the team and will allow them to concentrate on winning games rather than the circus that has surrounded the team. The Eagles are exceptionally tough in Philly. They will be playing with desperation.

If they lose to the Cowboys their season is down the toilet. They need a win and need it desperately; for their sakes but for their fans' sake. If TO plays he will have something to prove. The Eagles will certainly be trying to make a statement Monday night. I know Parcells understands this and will try to bring the Boys best game to Philly.

Phoenix Talon, I do agree this game will not be a cakewalk for Dallas. With the TO saga now over (or at least temporarilly) I think the Eagles will have a chance to re-focus. Last year proved that they did not need TO to have playoff success. In fact it's been my argument all along that TO's presense in the Super Bowl is what led Philly to lose because of the distraction he created by taking the focus off of the team and putting it all on himself. I don't mean this either from a media perspective, but rather it was a distraction for the team - particularly the offense - internally. What we're seeing this season is symptomatic carry-over of that. But without TO the Eagles offense can now re-focus as a "team" again and that can help elevate their game - particularly on offense.

Yes the Eagles are traditionally tough at home, but to call your stadium a "hostile" environment under the current circumstances is a bit of a stretch with respect ot the Cowboys. We've already won some tough road games so i don't think going into Philly right now will pahse this Dallas team. That's partly because Philly's defense is playing poorly - have been all year. TO is wrong to say that with Favre you'de be 7-0. The truth is that Philly's poor defensive play would make that impossible, regardless of who's playing QB. And Dallas' offense is a vetran bunch who are playing well together.

In the end, I still think this game will be tough for Dallas to win. Philly's re-grouped offense against Dallas' tough defense will be a good chess match to watch. With the injuries we have in our defensive secondary, we may let some points go your way. However, if our offense shows up and plays the way it is capable of then your defense will be no match for it, and that will be the difference leading to a Dallas victory.

The only way I see Philly winning is for them to play lights out on bototh offense and defense (which has not happened all year) while Dallas is caught on off week (especially on offense). But who knows what will happen; that's why they play the games, right?

Good luck to your Eagles. Here's to a happy and healthy contest all the way around!

Talon - your buds over a KFFL should be sporting some Commander avitars today and for the week.

And as most of us know here. The winner of the NFC east is going to have to go through Philly.

I am not too big on predictions, but if Dallas is on their game philthy has no chance.
Dallas has shutdown much better running offenses with ease and philthy has no receivers that can make enough plays to make the difference. Their defense is questioning itself and will cave after giving up a couple of scores.
Its always like this when a dominant team starts to falter. Many fans are still scared of them until they are beaten enough to prove they are really toothless and not the same team they were.

Last year the beagles had Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell at WR while TO was out. This year i can't even name the starters at WR.

Since T.O. is O.U.T. we are in the process of making that determination. Reggie Brown made some giant steps in that direction during last Sunday's game. I Believe I heard someone say that we are looking for a big-named RB to replace T.O.

Hope that clears up some of the mud.
