What a great run, and a true character. NFL coach wearing a Stetson, pretty damn cool. RIP

Feel bad for Wade, great guy, great coach, just doesn't have it as a head coach but one of the best defensive coordinators in the league. RIP

I don't know a thing about him but have read online sort articles & he seemed to be a wonderful fun guy.

Unique I believe one writer said.

That's a good way to be remembered.

RIP Bum. He wasn't just a stellar player coach and defensive innovator but one of the most memorable characters that helped grow the NFL. Deepest sympathies and condolences to Wade and his family.

I know he wasn't directly part of the Cowboys family, but his son Wade was whether you dislike him or not. That makes Bum part of our family if you ask me, and he was great for the NFL.

Sad day and I wish Wade the best. I think we can all respect this quote from Bum.

“When I die, they should put on my tombstone: ‘He would have lived a whole lot longer if it wasn’t for the Pittsburgh Steelers.’ ”

I never see it in print, but I would swear that when I was a kid, he was HC at French HS (no longer around). God Bless you Coach and your family...
