Am I the only one who is extremely excited about Brandon Carr and to a degree Morris Claiborne, and their physicality?

I really think this is going to bring in a new era of Cowboys defense. Even Mike Jenkins has been one of our more physical corners in the past, and now he looks like one of the least physical corners that are sure to make the roster.

I think that is really going to help Dez and Miles. I feel as though our team really struggles against what we don't do on one side of the ball.

The defense really struggled against screens and passes to the flats... something our offense really didn't do much of.

The offense really struggled with getting off of press coverage... something our defense really didn't do much of at all...

We didn't take advantage of our running backs and tight ends against linebackers, because we ourselves had slow linebackers. It seems related.

I think it is good, but generally man to man yields less turnovers. It is a nice tool to have in the bag, for sure. The press is what killed TO's career.

I think it's more principally sound and can also result in more sacks and potentially fumbles.

It's all a mix.

Rob Ryan says he needs physical corners to run his blitz schemes. Now he has them, so time to put up or shut up for Rob.

You have a good observation there, but the OLine must be able to hold their blocks long enough to brake the press!

Love press-man. Especially when you get a guy like Claiborne, who, if he stays true to form, is opportunistic. If they're both strong, we'll end up with Carr on their playmaker and funneling the coverage to encourage people to throw at Mo or into the safety coverage.

If we've got the pass rush, it'll work nicely. We'll see.

I like it....

I love a corner tho, who can play excellent off coverage. Because it results in more turnovers/picks.

Great press man, results in sacks.

I do think it will be great to see a QB go down 5+ times a game though

Agreed, should cause the QB to hold longer. Can affect the quick read / pass, when we are blitzing. Slows down everything in the passing game.
Need at least decent safety support to help at times once the receiver clears.

Exactly.

Don't get me wrong....it certainly has it's negative side.

If the QB get's to much time in a press Man....it might go for a huge play.

I like our Corners and pass Rushers though, so i don't think it will be an issue.

It will be great to see a QB throw a ton of in completions, balls to the ground, over throws while trying to beat the blitz

Tap the brakes a bit bud. Are you predicting 70-80 sacks this year? I think we finish in top 5 for sacks though.
