Bunting draft rumors 3/26/11 more Tyron Smith

Between Doug Free and Tyron Smith, who plays left tackle and who plays right tackle?

You don't draft a right tackle at No. 9, IMO. That's too high of an investment for that position.

So that puts Doug Free back at right tackle. Dallas needs to pay him accordingly ... they can't give him left tackle money to play there. He and his agent won't like it and that could be a problem.

Why would u put Free back at RT? The guy was fantastic at LT. You draft Tyron at 9 to protect the guy you just paid 67 mil to. Dallas will have the most athletic tackle duo in the nfl.

Let me get this straight. You have Doug Free and Tyron Smith on the team, signed to contracts. You then decide what position to play them at based on the fact that you aren't allowed to play a #9 pick at RT?

If that's the decision making process Garrett & co. use, it really doesn't matter who they draft.

Robert Ayers wasn't a great pass rusher at Tennessee. If they are going back to a 43, they are going to probably have to replace him.

?? Really ?? Defenses are using creative blitzes to exploit match up. Dallas move Ware around and it's not uncommon for the opposing RT to face Ware. In these days the RT is nearing the importance of a LT. You needs to be able to protect the edges.

Erik Williams worth #9 pick? Larry Allen G worth #9 pick?

People who says #9 pick in RT is too high is ridiculous (IMO). People seem to think every player drafted in the top 10 will be HOFers. I settle for a top 10 RT for the next 10-13 years.

Bryan Broaddus on Cameron Jordan VS Tyron Smith

Did not have much success rushing the passer against USC tackle Tyron Smith because Smith was able to mirror the moves of Jordan and control him with his hands. Jordan really struggled with his hands to disengage from Smith and was not as productive as he was against Colorado and Stanford.

You are persuasive enough to be his agent. :laugh2:

When I'm negotiating my next contract at work, I'm hiring you. :)

But we don't have Free under contract I don't believe. He's an FA and can sign anywhere he wants. I believe that's what Chief is trying to say.
