Breaking down the game of Stanford OT Jonathan Martin and our impression of him at the next level…

What I like…

Martin possesses an athletic looking frame.
- Possesses an athletic looking frame with solid length for the position.
- Showcases natural bend and flexibility when asked to sit into his stance.
- Can keep his base under him and knees bend initially on his kick slide.
- Does a nice job initially maintaining proper balance with his footwork when trying to reach

With DeCastro next to him, Andrew Luck's left side was a veritable fortress. I'm not sure those two gave up a sack. The Fiesta Bowl pressure usually came from the other side. Martin is a very telrnted player, but I'm not sure if he's top ten. Top twenty, depending on who you talk to.

I'm hoping that Martin and Iowa's Reiff shoot up everyone's board so that 3 O-Lineman (Kalil) go in the Top 13.

3 OL = Kalil, Reiff, Martin
2 QB = Luck, Griffin
1 RB = Trent Richardson
2 WR = Blackmon, Jeffery
1 CB = Claiborne
9 players that should go before our pick.

If we are lucky Quinton Coples, Luke Kuechly, Devon Still and maybe a Michael Floyd or Dre Fitzpatrick are hot commodities too so we'll have a shot at DeCastro. Landry Jones staying in school hurts us some.

For some reason Richardson said he is staying in school. Foolish. Cant miss RBs need to come out early.

Never believe what a top underclassmen says until after his bowl game. Right now he is all Alabama, all team, all winning the National Championship, etc.

Agreed on RB's. Montee Ball should have came out. He isn't a top 10 pick but he would have gone high enough. Wisconsin loses Wilson, Toon, and a big chunk of that impressive O-Line. His stock is at an all-time high.

Martin was LT, DeCastro RG.

oops! :eek:: My bad

I went back to take a look and noticed the iso shots on DeCastro. When he pulled, he was pretty fast for a big guy. I should pay more attention to where he started from.
