The Cowboys allegedly mentioning Peterson and Harris in the same breath makes sense if you look at his grade on Harris.
If Dallas wants an OT, they will have to take one at 9, or they will not get one. I hope their scouts know what they are doing in regards to Smith, and their recent draft history and pass history on offensive linemen doesn't give me much confidence. Garrett has to be a part of this evaluation. Smith looks like the only option at OT at 9, when you factor in the other players at different positions (in Bunting's ratings). Smith is still my top want at # 9, and you for sure take the OT over the CB, in a deep CB class. You are looking at the top two center/guards being gone and possibly Watkins before 41. Ijalana could be gone if he clears medically.
Bunting's grades give me pause for concern, again. Dallas takes a defensive player at 9 and watches all the top offensive line prospects disappear before 41. If you take Smith, you take the best offensive linemen in the draft according to Bunting, and he fills a big need at RT and could upgrade your LT spot in the near future and give you depth there.
I agree with Julio Jones being graded higher than Ingram although Ingram graded out well for him, too.
Dareus isn't rated as high as Jordan here, but I still think Dallas would take Dareus over Jordan. He can play all three defensive line position and may be your NT in a short period of time.
I would hope Derek Sherrod still gets in that mix at 9, he is .5 point behind Smith in the ratings. I still think Sherrod goes in the top 20. I really like him. He has LT starting ability and can play RT.
He rated 6 blue chip guys, and I stated that there were 5 or 6. I wonder what all the different teams will think on this front. I counted Dareus as a blue chip player, and I think Dallas will, too.
