Quote of the Week
"I'm avoiding, deliberately avoiding, saying whether or not the Cowboys would be interested. He's a player that is a competitive player. He's an outstanding addition to an offense ... In general, I am a risk-taker. We've gone down that road. We've had some situations that worked and some that didn't. Alonzo Spellman had a great year with us. Alonzo certainly had some issues ... I probably have a propensity to try and make things work ... We've got a quarterback in Bledsoe who is arguably as fine a long-ball thrower as there is in the league. A top receiver could flourish with Drew Bledsoe. That's always appealing.''

-- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, on the Dunham and Miller Show on KCTK in Dallas, on the prospect of Terrell Owens playing for the Cowboys in the future.

LOL, my thoughts exactly silver. I think it was Blackistone that said in an article this past summer that in the picture with all the dogs playing poker, Jerry is the one with his tail wagging. Best analogy of Jerry I've ever heard.

Another TO to Dallas thread..........Where there's smoke there's fire.

Can Owens subjugate his ego and overall abilities to be part of a Bill Parcells team?

If Owens wants to show the football world that doesn't think he's bigger than the game....DallasCowboys under Bill Parcells would be the best scenario.

Jerry Jones will give TO a fair contract.........we have the cap room.

Folks ........in the scheme of things, I like the idea. Keyshawn could be moved to the 3rd WR spot. He'll play in the slot with TO and Glenn on the outside. Crayton can be our 4th WR with Price backing up Glenn and Copper rounding out the WR Core.

Keyshawn would definately subjugate his ego and role if we're winning and keep him involved. He'd improve the blocking game if he's in the slot, plus he's right up their in the hands department and could be a very good outlet target.

Starters in bold. Glenn would face single coverage

Terrel Owens Keyshawn Johnson Patrick Crayton(PR)

Terry Glenn Peerless Price (PR) Terence Copper (ST and KR)

Man, I can just see JJ licking his chops. He's ready to throw down two first rounders to acquire TO.

King was interviewed on local radio last Friday and he was asked about his sources and thinking on this T.O. to Dallas talk. He basically said he was just going by Jerry's history, but that Parcells could very well lay down the law that he wasn't going to have a character like that on his team and that would be a quick end to all of this talk. Well duh, Peter. Parcells is the one who has emphasized character and teamwork ever since he got here, and he's the one who wouldn't want Owens.

In other words, King was far from certain that we'd really be interested, and he admitted he was just speculating. I'm sure the fact that Dallas is a high-profile team didn't hurt his choosing us as a possible destination.

Well, that will be the interesting part. I don't think JJ will ever give up 2 first rounders to a division rival, much less one that has ruled the division for the last few seasons. And regardless, Owens will receive an outright release anyhow, and then the bidding will begin.

So what, you guys don't think Jerry and Parcells have discussed the T.O. situation already? Of course they have. But we are in the middle of the season and he's not going to be available this year. That is a subject for the off-season.

Once T.O. becomes available in the off-season, he is a prospect they will thoroughly research and then decide if they believe it will work. It's as simple as that.

Parcells has never shied away from strong personalities, even conflict with players, so long as the player gives it his all on the practice field and "is with you on Sunday". It's hard to find anyone who will say that T.O. doesn't work hard in practice or on gameday.

If T.O. was aquired this off season, Price probably wouldn't come back.

Unless he has nowhere else to go, there's no way Keyshawn will play second fiddle to T.O. His ego is way too damn big.

But it doesn't matter how much Jerry Jones wants T.O. on the team. If Parcells doesn't want him, it won't happen. Period! Bill tells Jerry who plays on this team.

ain't never gonna happen - ain't never gonna happen - ain't never gonna happen!!!!! look what TO's antics have done to the 4=time defending NFC champions! they're dogmeat! IMO its ridiculous to think that Parcells would risk losing all the chemistry he's built up here for the sake of upgrading his WR corps. lots of people including me thought we would draft a WR with one of our first=round picks - didn't happen. do you know why? because we already have Glenn, Keyshawn, Price, Crayton, and throw in TE Witten for good measure. Those guys are all team players who will do whatever is asked of them for the good of the team.
TO to Dallas??? fagedabowdid!!!!!

TO wont be traded, he'll be cut. I believe his contract makes trading him prohibitive to the receiving team.

Don't offend us fantasy people. How about just plain morons.

What part of the Antonio Bryant Story do some people want to hear. What part of the Belechick/New England Story do they need to digest. What part of the screaming-at-the-S.F. OC tape do they need to see.

If you can't stay out of the press criticizing Jeff Garcia then Donovan McNabb why would you play nice all of a sudden with aging Drew Bledsoe.

Oh ---I forgot,T.O., just wants to win and he'll be intimidated by the great Tuna. He wouldn't think of claiming Bill is in love with the running game and goes into a conservative shell when he thinks he can win that way,-- would he and Keyshawn will be his new best friend and will change positions.
