Burgers

I'm making this post just to give a special shout out to the butcher that just opened in the town down the highway a little bit here.

Some friends got together during Week 1 to barbecue and watch the Red Zone Channel...it was definitely a good time. One of the things we had were some burgers made from ground beef that was purchased at the butcher's the day before.

Let me tell you...there is nothing better than some fresh, ground beef for burger patties, at about 80% lean. They were melt-in-your-mouth good...some of the best homemade burgers I've ever had.

I'm planning on going down there and getting some more beef to make some burgers at my dad's place one weekend. They were so good.

At any rate - if you have a local butcher, I highly recommend getting your meat there instead of the regular grocery store. It is so fresh it's incredible.

NICE! I want to eventually go moose hunting, but it's out of our budget currently. What kinda bow you got? I got an old Bear with a 50lb draw, but it's got soft-draw cams so it's not too bad.

Yeah, I'm a small town backwoods redneck tomboy, not to mention a former jarhead; so "guy stuff" is right up my alley.
