Thats Chris Cornell from Soundgarden/Audioslave (comes in at :39 and belting it at 2:31) and Mark Arm from Mudhoney (1:56) in there with them.

Okay, now that I listen for it, I can definitely hear it. I just assumed it was Layne changing his tone. He had the talent to do that.
