whats up with this guy? i havent heard anything good about him yet, is he one of them injury prone guys? is he another jacob rogers? we should really just start trading away our 2nd round pick, we've gotten one legit starter from them in like 5 years.

:anvil:

I agree Burnett is a bust.

Ok Ok hahahahahahahahahahah.........Tell me this guy was joking.

well when your almost a 1st round pick and can't even get on the field as a relief player, what would u call it?

uh, what in the world are you talking about? did you even see preseason?

David

Yeah, I did. Brainfart. I confused training camp with preseason play. I guess Beriault's play impressed me. Burnett didn't seem to stand out. My mistake.

What round was Witten drafted? 2nd or 3rd?

Burnett WILL be a starting OLB by game #10. Doomsaday will need his speed and athleticism(sp?). Fujita will move to ILB next to Dat.

Burnett had knee surgery before week 1. I expect he'll be ready to play if not this week, next week for sure... :star:

Fujita's skills are best suited for OLB. He's gonna stay there. Burnett won't be starting at OLB unless an injury (or two ) occurs. Parcells already said he might move Burnett to ILB anyway.

By the way, Fujita is bigger and faster then Burnett.

Far from a wasted pick right now. It's an injury, he'll recover, then we can judge him. JJ was hurt until Baltimore last year, I don't think he busted.

as stated above, BP said that even when he heals he wont be seeing the field.. we dont have a glaring need at OLB like we did at running back. jj was far more likely to succeed.

And yet there were dozens of people proclaiming him a bust when he was hurt. It's no different than what you are doing right now. Let the guy heal and we'll see what happens down the road. Most draft picks take a year or two to pan out one way or the other.

Please stop. With each post you sound more and more like you don't have a clue.

Man, Burnett will do fine, we had a clear dearth at OLB, our 2nd round picks do fine usually. (Rogers, Quincy, Dixon not withstanding). The guy did real good in the preseason, and we haven't seen him play yet. Just wait, he'll be a real important part of this defense.

You cannot be serious about this.

Or, maybe you wanted a little attention. Hope you feel better now. ;)

And it's stupid threads like these (and all the others that are similar) that have popped up on the Zone here lately that have made it much less fun for me to visit these days.

you guys need to wake up.. everyone was laughing when i claimed jacob rogers was a bust too. look what happened there. in the nfl you dont have years and years to sit around with potential. funny thing is you guys probably still dont consider jacob rogers a bust. sorry to bring reality into everyones warped brains but its a "what are you doing for me now?" league. some of these players think they can come into the league and sit around on IR and miss valuable playing time all the while still collect a check. well not with BP on board..

Just curious - when did you call him a bust and who laughed? Because from what I remember there were lots of people calling this guy a potential bust last year, same with Julius. Were you one of those guys that called him a bust as well?
