Burnett Moved to Weak Side?

Did I correctly read that Burnett has been moved to the weakside?!? Wow!

How are we gonna cut Singleton now?! Is Fujita going to man the strongside by his lonesome? Or is Singleton actually going to start there in San Diego with his small frame, no play making ability and bloated contract?

I am vexed.

In all seriousness, I really AM confused by this. I still prefer Burnett inside if possible, but why would he be moved to weakside where his opportunity to start is minimalized? Is Fujita that good, or is Burnett really having that much difficulty? I mean, he looked raw out there, but he is a physical specimen.

I don't get it either. But then if Fujita went to the weakside then we wouldn't see Ware and Fujita on the field at the same time. I think Fujita being a bigger threat as a pass rusher then Al and Burnett is the reason for it. Not because of anything Burnett did or didn't do.

Think of it this way... Youre the opposing QB. You go up to the line and scan the defense. You see Ware on your left and Burnett on your right. What side are you worried about?

Now, same thing, only now you see Ware on your left and Fujita on your right? Now you're worried about both sides cuz you know both of them can get to the QB.
