Burnett/Price link

We all are eagerly awaiting seeing Peerless in uniform, but something to keep in mind is this:

3 players are replacing Burnett at the moment.

Ogbogu on defense, Fujita and Fowler on special teams.

3 players were active to cover all we were losing from Burnett, and until Burnett comes back, we will likely have to keep waiting for Price.

Fugy & Fowler will still play alot of ST even when Burnett comes back...

I would think Price would be active this game (MNF) but we shall see?

I do believe that it was Copper that manned Burnett's position on ST.

It does make a bit of sense but Copper stank up the joint last week and very easily could be replaced.

Down the road he could be brought off the PS but I don't think it happen just yet.

Dallas went into the last game with all 4 RB in the lineup I doubt all 4 will be active this coming game, Price will be on the game roster.

Thompson was inactive, we did not have 4 RBs.

Copper did not replace Burnett.

Fujita was active and on ST in place of Burnett.

Fowler screwed up a punt return and lost contain and whiffed on the tackle on the 2nd long kickoff return.

If Barber is inactive, they would probably activate Thompson.

What's the rush to get Price on the field? He hasn't proven anything yet. Leave the guys out there who can contribute. Screw Price (not that I don't like him, I just don't see how he makes the Cowboys better at this point in time).

There are players that are already active that can help the special teams. Getting Keith Davis on the coverage teams would help. Bill may be reluctant to do it, but it will help.

Dallas has player who can return both punts and kickoffs but I'd be willing to bet that Price will be part of the active roster, I don't think Dallas made the move to get him just to sit him out.

Because he is a good player and yes we could easily fit him into a WR rotation through out the game. Sorry just because the WR's did good last week does not mean more talent being added to the offense is a bad thing.

Actually I believe Fowler is on ST anyway and would have been active anyway. Fujita is going to remain active also because they want to start working him into the game on Defense. When Burnett comes back he will replace Ogbogu on the Defense and will take up some ST duties. Price likely will replace Copper and we will make adjustments on ST to cover Coppers ST rule. I do not see Price remaining inactive until Burnett returns.

One of the linemen will probably be active too. I dunno how often Parcells wants to roll with 7 active linemen. That's not the smartest idea.

Who do you expect to go inactive from the LB's when Burnett returns to make room for Price? I don't see them making Fujita inactive because they want to get him on the field and he is a good ST player in his own right. Ogbogu will likely go inactive but he will make room for Burnett himself so that space won't go to Price. Fowler has been a ST mainstay for us since he has been here so do we make him inactive for Price? I think Fowler will also stay active for his ST ability.

Copper did nothing on ST in SD and they will likely be looking at other options there anyway. And if they do keep him active the next likely choice is Parakeet Jones to be replaced by Price. Personally I expect it to be Copper.

I agree that they will try to move another OL active but that is another matter. They might try going without Polite after his wiff on the blitz pickup. Parcells talked about doing that anyway so maybe we just run more 2 and 3 TE sets and let the OL replace Polite.
