Dak had more weapons than most last season. Most QBs would love a solid Oline, an All Pro RB (Pollard), an All Pro WR (CeeDee), plus a very solid TE in Shultz. Plus solid players in Zeke, Gallup, Ferguson, Hilton and Brown.

And 2,3, and 4 years ago there were plenty of weapons on offense but the defense was all time bad (with an injury season in there which you just have to write off). This year the weapons were a 3rd year WR and some JAGs behind him, a borderline top 10-15 TE, an offensive line where you have a great player, a rookie, a great player when he is rarely healthy, and hopes and dreams to round it off. That is simply not enough and will never be enough. The fact that they just paid Gallup does not make him worth the contract.

Spending money and spending wisely are two different things. Paying Gallup and dumping Cooper was a step backwards, and we all saw it.

We ended up with CeeDee and not much else at WR. Hilton was a late-season Band-Aid. Dak still needs to stop throwing interceptions, though.

But total dollars spent doesn't tell the story. How and where you spend it matters. Having the highest paid RB, in 2022, isn't a badge of honor.

Ex-players like Michael Irvin, Dez Bryant and others, many sports analysts, plus ex-coaches and even CeeDee Lamb have all said Dak didn't have enough weapons and clearly needs more. Cowboys Oline was injured all season, playing musical chairs with backups, started a rookie and ended up ranked 28th out of 32 Olines when it came to pass block win rate all 2022 season. The run game was non-existent against good run-stopping defenses as well. Plus, their Oline coach finally got fired as well, along with his assistants.

As per the receivers running the wrong routes, plenty of weekly games video analysis by Kurt Warner and others questioning what kind of routes, schemes and designs were being run on a weekly basis by our receivers. 1/3rd of Dak's 17 interceptions were because of our receivers. Just go to YouTube and look it up instead of mouthing off so foolishly.
