I'm here to announce that after this season I won't be around much anymore.

I'm gunna try to enjoy this season and take it all in. C'mon Dallas, give me a Superbowl. Lets go out on top.

When we were dating I told my wife that she needs to know that I am a football junkie.

I told her you don't have to worry about other sports always being on the TV but I will be watching my football.

She found out how serious I was on our wedding day when I was running a tad late (no not for the actually ceremony but we agreed to meet a little early for the situation) and had to wait until the halftime of the first cowboys pre-season game that year. :laugh2:

Cherish her, but hopefully she'll understand that you enjoy football in general and the Cowboys in particular and will see to it that you get the chance to watch them.

But I was clowning my own circle of friends as I do with them, not addressing you specifically.

There was however a hint of truth to my statement of changing yourself and success in a relationship. I've seen it time and time again.

sadly, I've never dated a football fan. The lucky ladies I date always hate football and I always go through the same process of telling them that they have me everyday of the week, except for weekends in the fall and winter. Then they can have me all through the spring and summer.

They always agree, and then complain after the first weekend of football.

I need to find a nice, hot, Cowboys fan.

There's always hope man !!

My wife wasn't really an avid football fan for the first few years we were married, but she knew I loved the Cowboys and the Mountaineers, and bless her heart, she has never tried to change one thing about me. (faults and all) She has always let me be me.

So there was never a problem with me watching football Friday, Sat, Sun & Mon. night.

Then along came Troy Aikman, and she suddenly began to take interest in the Cowboys and football. (wonder why ?)

Long story short, she is a HUGE football fan now. ( I mean that you like football a lot honey, not that you are huge. )

Anyway, give it time, you never know.
