Why don't offenses hurry up to the line and snap the ball when there is a questionable call like that?

They couldn't. The officiating crew all headed to speak with Belichick (all of them) so that they could apologize for the bad call while he threw the red flag.

Belichick: The only coach in the NFL that throws a red challenge flag, and the entire officiating crew goes to talk to him and pats him on the back.

They all need to make sure they are on the same page when they rule in the Pats favor.

Other teams can do what they want to. Maybe they haven't shown the propensity to turn the ball over in the passing game when it's all on the line. If they want to play stupid, let them. Personally, I'd rather play smart and do what it takes to WIN the GAME rather than build up a lot of stats.

So then, next time, when we get a big lead, start running all the time, have a bunch of 3-and-outs, let the other team's offense get rhythm and momentum, while our defense gets tired, and we piss the lead away, what then?
