Lots of good FS in the coming Draft, maybe a couple top SS. If a top FS (worthy of a 1st round pick) is there our #1 or our #2 pick, do we dare take a FS and move Jones to SS...?
We are going to be picking late in the round, all top edge rushers and CBs will most likely be gone.

We may have to address that in FA, I hope we are able to do both but, what if a top 1st round talent FS is there thats better then any 2nd or 3rd tier pass rusher??
I can remember a draft we took 3 or 4 CBs trying to find one, it didn't work. I think one of them is still in prison.

Some around here would have you believe he sucks because he has no interceptions.
Truth be told, our secondary is carrying this defense, along with Sean Lee.
Imagine if we get a pass rush?
That's what I would like to see. A pass rush, add more guys upfront, and get some decent cover guys.
We shouldn't even think about an offensive player until maybe round 5

I gained an even deeper respect for Jones the last 2 games. Against the Commanders late in the game he tweaked an ankle it looked like, but knew he couldn't come out of the game. We were down to playing Brown as the #2 CB and both Kavon Frazier and Heath were out there. So he had to stay out there and play on a bad foot.
And then it happened again vs. the Vikings. He's making some of those plays out there while he's hurt.
This is one reason I'm so glad we get the 10 days off before the Giants, Jones is one of the guys that needs to heal up before that big December push into the playoffs.

FS is a strength not a weakness. We need CB in the secondary, now to your question. If we can't trade back and the FS is by far the best on the board then you take him and hope you don't waste time moving him or Jones to corner. With Frazier, Heath, Church and Wilcox we have plenty of SS

Yep. A pass rush can make any secondary look good. Seeing as they don't have to cover for as long and have more opportunities to make plays. With no pass rush, you have 4 defenders back there as good as Deion Sanders and teams are still going to go down the field on you in today's NFL where the rules are so slanted to the offense.

I like Jones... one of my favorite young Cowboys... This team is better than some think... even with an 11-1 record. There will be games when everything snowballs in our favor and our young kids really shine.

I always like building through the draft much more than FA. Most teams do not let premier positions like QB and pass rush just walk. They figure out a way to keep them.
I do wish he had taken a shot with Freeney. It would have been a cheap 1 year/1mill deal. I didn't get that. He's not what he used to be but he'd definitely help this unit.
I do like the progression of Collins at DT. That looks like a good pick. The 2016 draft so far is turning into one of our best drafts I can ever remember. Mainly because we looked to have found our franchise RB and QB in it.

If we do in FA great, but if we dont, we have to draft one. We cant afford to many positions to dictate us skipping a pass rusher yet again. A good pass rusher will make the defense better from the get go. Even a good CB cant cover a WR all day if no one gets to the qb and we have a problem getting to the QB.

I know previous drafts i wanted a ball hawk FS, i really do, but our pass rush is sooooo inept, even i want us to pass up a FS for a good DE this year. Its just to important to the whole defense.
