Tables courtesy of Mockdraftable, which set of measurables look like that of a top ten pick, and which one don't? Wow.

His measurables are off the charts but it takes more than measurables to be a good football player. The measurables are what made him turn into a first round draft pick. I would prefer to see him dominating in college and have ok measurables at the combine vs him looking average in college and having great measurables at the combine.

When I first heard him speak after being drafted, Mo' came off as dumb. Not PC to say this today, but he is what he is. Then I heard he scored like an 11 on the Wonderlic and that sealed it for me.

The assistant coach who recommended him to JJ should be held accountable.

Some of you guys have unrealistic expectations, if he was a dominant player in college then he would be a top 10 pick and out of our reach.

Mo scored a 4 on the Wonderlic... not a 11.

4 means you barely have enough brainpower to breathe and blink without actively thinking about it.

The big thing is that Jones fits the scheme. Claiborne fit Rob Ryan's scheme, but since we changed to a zone scheme, it doesn't fit Claiborne's abilities. You have to be able to tackle in a zone scheme. Claiborne can't and gets injured when he tries. He also doesn't have the instincts to play zone.

Not that I'm arguing anything about those two charts, but why don't both charts list the same things? Jones has bench press listed and Mo has wonderlic. So the same measurables aren't listed at the same places and one place it's completely different. It'd be more awesome if they were the same chart for both guys... especially since Jones scored like 30 points higher on his wonderlic I believe.

Edit: Also, Jones doesn't haven't his 40 yard dash listed. That would be a good comparison point for the two players as well.

Measurables are one thing. It's the film I'm worried about. They should go hand in hand

The guy is smart, athletic, emotionally stable and physically gifted,,, at the bare minimum they can coach him up to be a serviceable DB. He does kinda look like a Pats pick, eh?

I'm surprised that Jones only ranks in the 71st percentile in height. 6'1" is pretty tall for a CB.

Onto the subject at hand... I always hated the trade up for Claiborne, I'm never a fan of giving up so much for one guy... but I never questioned it because he was supposed to be good and worthy of that draft position, so I just grinned and bared it. However, looking at these measurables... how was this guy ever considered to be so good? There weren't many people questioning if he was worth the sixth overall pick, at least that I saw, but looking at this chart.... I mean... how? You can't always depend on workout data, but it's typically a pretty decent test on a player's tangible ability.

I care about the 20 yard shuttle and the 3 cone drill more than I do 40 times.... but none of those were good for Mo. This just hurts to look at really, thinking back to what we could have done in that draft instead, even more so than it already did.

I don't know, because I checked out the draft prospects that site has listed at CB and I only saw one player listed as being taller and that guy was 6'2". I thought maybe it meant "DBs" and had included safeties so I checked that out as well and that only adds two more players at 6'2" to the list so that couldn't have been it either. Weird.

He has a ton of upside. Lacks that "Dog" in him that the best CB's normally have but there is definitely a lot of upside.
