He has a lot to smile about -- I'm glad he's officially a Cowboy with that new contract. If he does as well with the pads on as he did with them off, it's pretty safe to say the arrow is pointing up for him. The fun starts for real at the end of July when TC begins. I really can't wait to see how he progresses from that point on.

The Cowboys officially signed rooke defensive back Byron Jones to a four-year, $8.6 million contract on Thursday. The deal includes a $7 million in guaranteed money, and a $4.5 million signing bonus, a source told The Dallas Morning News.
Jones was selected 27th overall in April, and he has been drawing the attention of his coach during the team's OTAs.
"Obviously there's a lot of things to like about him," head coach Jason Garrett said. "The stuff that we saw in college - his physical ability, his approach. I think he's demonstrated a desire to be a great player by his work ethic. You see that in everything he does. He's a young player, though. He has to get better technically but he's certainly working at it."
