These two players will always be linked, as they were taken 6 selections apart. Granted, Byron has been switched back to his natural position as a CB.

Landon definitely seemed to be the superior player initially, but now in season number 4, Byron is having his best season yet. With that said, who do you think is the superior player?

I only see Collins twice a year. That said, Jones need to prove all year. Will receivers start seeing his film and start attacking his weaknesses. We'll see.

Byron was light years better than Landon their rookie seasons.

Given their entire body of work so far? I'm taking Landon

This is silly.

Players in all sports are compared all the time
I remember Merriman being compared to Ware
And many others
You can’t compare results till those results are finished
I’m sure those who bashed the Ware because merriman started out looking like a player thought they had seen enough to know

The comparisons were easier to make when they both played safety. Obviously Collins is the better safety.

That being said, these past 4 games, Byron is playing like a legit shutdown corner. He is playing balls out right now.

If he keeps that up as a CB. He will Be, well worth his draft selection. And corner is generally a more premier position that safety.

But they also played different safety spots. Collins was better in the run and played SS. Jones is far superior in coverage and played FS. Last year Collins didn't play all that great but most folks were living off his performance from season prior. This season I only watched the Dallas and Giants game and a little of the saints game. This season three way Jones is playing I much rather have him. Playing different safety spots it's hard to want one more than the other because it depends on which safety spot you need. All that being said I'm taking Jones all day because he is a Cowboy and Collins is the enemy.

His weakness is he doesn’t get int because QBs haven’t been challenging him imo

Collins has already posted all-pro seasons. Byron might make that honor this season. Until he does I suspect one needs to give the nod to Collins.

Collins and it's not even close. If we drafted collins we probably move on to the next round in 2016 playoffs

Collins is the better safety. Jones is the better corner. Overall, Collins is the better player. He was top 3 in the Defensive Player of the Year award in his second year. He's a two-time Pro Bowler, one time All-Pro, and has 8 interceptions to Byron's 2.

Landon is probably my #1 target in free agency next year, assuming the Giants don't Franchise Tag him.

Agree with this.

Jones may show, and receive PB/All-pro recognition, but until then, Collins is the better player based off their play so far.
