Im not gonna lie, I have never a big fan of this guy, but after today I have to give hime major respect. In the second half the dude took some brutal shots and you could tell by his facial expressions that he was really hurtin but he kept on goin...what a warrior

Anyways..GO COWBOYS:star:

He's tough as they come and has a laser...it's why I wouldn't have minded him as our backup if we coulda got him.

If Leftwich had been playing for the Bears, they'd be 1-0 right now.

He's not a great QB, obviously, but he can be really good when he's feeling it. I almost thought he might be feeling confident today since he played really well beating us in a similar situation in 2006 -- first game of the year, humid Florida day, even the blue Cowboys jerseys.

I consider Leftwich a good QB that is a great QB if he has time.

Leftwich is nothing if not tough. Spears laid a hat to Byron's sternum that woulda made lesser men weep. * Hello Eli *

The biggest shame is that Leftwich was sitting there for the taking last season, no one was interested until the Steelers lost their backup QB. Cowboys could have had him, easy.

I said it earlier, he played one hell of a game. He was releasing balls as he was getting drilled and still putting it right on the money.

Watching Cutler, it seems like his delivery is as Big/long as Byrons... Cutler doesnt get the same grief from the media.

Byron's about as tough as they come and not in terms of a QBs.

I noticed he was feeling it but knew he wasn't going to be out of the game unless he was seriously hurt. Hats off to the guy, he's a football player.

I was impressed with how Leftwich hung in there. I have known the guy was tough and he once again showed it but he is not going to last 16 games taking the hits like he did yesterday.

Leftwich is a pretty talented guy, but is slow and the longest throwing motion in the league. Also, when he is off, he is really off. he did look sharp yesterday.

He's usually so easy to sack, I was suprised we didn't get 2-3 on him...but in the second half he was taking a beating. They kept an extra guy in for most of the game to protect him and help with the run game--so it was tough getting to him. When they fell behind more in the second half, they changed it up and the flood gates started to open up.

No offense, but it is not even remotely close.

He's always been a tough guy and I can't see how anyone could ever deny that. That goes all the way back to his college days. I have major respect for his toughness.
