I am not enough of a draftnick to include a mock but will pose a needs list for the draft.

Obviously, I want to keep our staff intact and think we will, with the possible exception of Callahan, which means a big pay raise for Pollack.

Dez is a must.

McClain's inability to stay healthy concerns me and we already have a ton of money tied up in Lee, so any deal to Ro needs to be incentive based.

Carter I can't figure out. For games and parts of games he vanishes, then he flashes brilliance. I honestly think he needs to be an inside guy in a 3-4, so I re-up Durant.

Free/Parnell all I can do is go by the eyeball test, and our offense runs better with Free. The individual stuff is about even but the OL as a whole functions better with Free.

Beasley has become an essential part of our offense so I extend him before he is a FA next year.

Dunbar we under use. I say we find a speed guy for returns in the draft.

Harris for a guy in a contract year was a disappointment. I would not break the bank on a guy that seems to have lost a step.

Moore is serviceable so you keep him cheap.

Carr gets tricky. He is not worth his cap cost but was our best corner down the stretch...funny how that coincided with us playing more man and the pass rush getting a bit better. I give him the Free deal, take a pay cut or be cut.

Melton vanished, so nothing beyond vet min with incentives.

Murray. I have been consistent about keeping him all season, but these past 5 games or so he has lost a step. He is reminding me of Eddie George, a back without break away speed who suddenly lost a step and became that 3 yard a carry guy. Couple that with seeing Randle hit the hole with burst and it makes me rethink keeping him. I have no doubt in my mind we win in GB if Randle got the ball instead of Murray on the fumble play. Randle would have been in the hole and out before Pepper could react and be gone for the TD.

In FA the only players I can see on the DL would be Hardy or Suh...and the Suh part sickens me to say. JPP is a shell of his burst out start and DEs with bad backs don't last.

The draft I want pass rushers, inside or outside, I don't care. That needs to be our priority. I want a LB with cover ability, a RB with return ability, a OT, more pass rushers, a CB/S hybrid guy.

Agree with it all. Free/Carr--keep, but only at good contracts

I'd add another high pick Olineman - pass rush, pass rush, pass rush - SUH - Free Safety (think speed) Need speed at safety.

Any player decisions always come down to price. McClain is a very good player in bursts, but wore down(somewhat expected) and started having concussion issues. If he's willing to take something reasonable I think you sign him. I think you probably want to keep two of the McClain/Durant/Carter grouping. If the coaches think Carter has turned a corner I think you keep him as he is probably the most athletic of the group. I think the Cowboys probably keep either Free or Parnell, probably offering Free a contract cut right now. There's enough in the cap for the players you need and then probably one splash FA if there's one you like enough. I really don't want Suh. I think he's a very good player, but I think he's a suspension waiting to happen and doubt he will ever keep himself clean for another two years.

There are A LOT of defensive linemen available this year in FA.

Kenrick Ellis, Jared Odrick, BJ Raji, Jerry Hughes, Nick Fairley, Adrien Clayborne to name a few.
