Yeah, I don't see Luepke able to make up in one night enough ground to capture 53-man status. He'd have had to impress more than he did. If I'm wrong, I'm mainly wrong because they know some other teams were salivating over him right after the draft, and they just think they can get away with exposing someone else easier than they can him.

Thing is, he is a natural fullback. He played the previous two games as a single back. You won’t see that

Dunno. Really dunno. Not a lot of teams these days actually have a role for a player like him, which is why he wasn't drafted in the first place... that much we can know. But of those teams that do, don't most of them already have someone they've been satisfied with?

And I don't like having him on the 53 man b/c if he were someone McC intended to use, we'd have seen so much more of him getting featured in training camp.

But I do want him on the PS.

He isn't a great player. But he does the small things that coaches like. He is the kind of guy that sticks around the league for 8-10 years and you are shocked.

I’ll bet at least one guy who we assumed walked away healthy will come down with the ‘Cowboy cough’ in the next couple days. Question is do they have enough vested vets that they can ‘handshake cut’ to get these guys on IR without risking waivers
