I have not seen it mentioned, so I decided to start a thread. One thing I noticed in the last year or so is that our offensive line seemed worse than it might have been because the defense always seemed to time the snap just right. I recall a game vs. the Panthers a couple of years back where Kris Jenkins was in the backfield every single play because he knew the count and how can we forget JJ getting hit behind the LOS every other running play or DB getting schlacked right after taking the handoff.
What I observed during last night's game is that Carolina was called for several encroachment penalties and often looked like they were about to jump offsides. Also, on JJ's running play they were caught off guard with the quick count.
Hearing Romo's cadence, it seems that he varies it just enough to give the defenders pause. When was the last time we had an offsides vs. the opposing defense this year? I could be wrong, but I don't recall even one up until this game.
The cadence has once again become a weapon.
On another note...I don't know that much about QB technique, but it does seem that Romo has excellent footwork. He also gets his shoulders squared rather quickly on most of his throws.
As many have mentioned, it will be interesting to watch as teams gameplan against him. The deep throws and the outs seem to be weaknesses, but the offense looked almost like pseudo WCO last night. Deep throw not necessary due to RAC.
