Caelen Carson is often the forgotten man in the secondary

He was a guy who had potential at one point. Got hurt and then the Eberflus situation happened. I’m just saying I think the slate is clean and what he did last year or the year before is irrelevant. To me all of them are in the same bottle except Bland IMO.

You’re comparing Carson to Revel & Steward who both played admirably as corners without much of a front seven pressure is inaccurate. Carson even before Eberflus ( Zimmer & Quinn ) was terrible

Admirably is a bit of a stretch. I liked Stewards physicality but yeah aside from that he got caught on all year and Revel was pretty bad we just give him the pass because the injury. I didn’t see one good corner on this team last year.

It is so strange and bizzarre how people go out of their way to hate on Eberflus.

Not really.

Yes he was. However, since he only played in 6 games as a rook, it was easy to give him a pass, especially considering that our D was terrible in 2024.

I was a fan of the draft pick and was highly disappointed at the lack of promise he showed as a rook.

Caelon Carson made “ plays “ his rookie camp too once he touched the field regular season the receivers made play after play against him .

He’s a 5th rounder and with the additions Dallas added in the off season plus Steward & Ballantine already reserves it’s hard for me to see Carson another year here .

Have to agree here. He got tested a lot and got burned quite a few time. I guess that is to be expected for a newbie. We will see how much he learned from last year.

Yep it didn’t matter who. And if he didn’t get benched a week later I’d probably chalk it up to a good qb taking advantage of a bad d but seems he wasn’t very good either.

Last year with no pass rush and no safety help (meaning the safeties were garbage) every CB in Dallas was burned even by terrible QB or receivers. Unfortunately for anyone one not playing under a big contract in the secondary they may lose their spot to a younger kid who wasn't apart of a historically bad defense.
