Caleb Downs and A LB with the first two picks?

Downs and a LB or CB at 20 would be great. Better would be a trade down and still pick up a corner or LB

Caleb Downs at 12 and Rodriguez or Allen at 20 I'm all for this, hopefully there's a trade to get more picks. Everyone on here knows the best fans on here want a trade down to get more picks!!!
Great but don't see Downs dropping to 12. Likely Harbaugh's pick at 5.
In fact, since the Saints and Chiefs wanna trade up, all top defenders could be off the board by 12.

IF we stay at 12, there is a chance Bain, Styles and McCoy would be there IMO.

The only 'name' player available at #12 will be Bain. Who I still believe as I have been saying for weeks will fall outside the top 15 picks.

We are not in a great position at #12 or #12. We need to either:
1) Move up i
2) Move down
3) Try and get a first round pick in 27
4) Trade for one of the Steelers guys

Think this is going to be a wild 1st rd where several players we thought would be drafted in day 2, go higher.

Agree it could be a wild 1st round........

But we may be looking at ALL top defenders off the board if we stay at 12, except for Bain and McCoy. Even worse, you may have trouble finding a trade-down partner offering max value.

FWIW, here is the consensus mock draft after the Lawrence trade.

1 Mendoza
2 Rese
3 Bailey
4 Love
5 Styles
6 Tate
7 Downs
8 Bain
9 Delane
10 Tyson
11 Mauigoa

I am hearing OL/Edge will be flying off the board, that suggests there will be action for teams moving up.

This would give us a good trade back player in Fano.

You have to accept Faulk is their guy in a wipe put situation.
We will see......

Good news, finding a trade partner for 20

First-round trades

If there’s something that really moves the needle in the first round this year from a trade standpoint, I think it’s how the tackles come off the board. I think there’s a better chance than not that seven tackles are selected in the first round: Miami’s Francis Mauigoa, Utah’s Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu, Alabama’s Kadyn Proctor, Georgia’s Monroe Freeling, Clemson’s Blake Miller and Arizona State’s Max Iheanachor. After those guys are gone, it feels like the league consensus is the dropoff is pretty significant.

With so many teams having a need at the position and the position being of such great value, my guess is that the well running dry could provoke some movement.

The alley of picks where it could happen, as I see it anyway, is Baltimore at 14, Detroit at 17, Carolina at 19, Pittsburgh at 21, Philly at 23, Cleveland at 24 and Chicago at 25. If, say, after 13 picks, Mauigoa and Fano are gone and the five others are left, and you have these seven teams looming as potential suitors, it’s possible you get a little game of leapfrog going.

And teams like the Buccaneers and Jets could be beneficiaries of that.

Can't see Saints taking Bain

I think it's more likely that 3 OL go in the top 10 than 0.

IF the OL go higher then the experts think, then we have a shot at someone

otherwise at 12 we are probably looking at a trade down

We have an idea of what they are targeting, just don't know how in front of them will play out nor does the Cowboy Front Office. Recently, we have heard about filling that 4i spot, but corner, nickel are littered with 30 visitors.
