Shouldn't be handed to NO rookie. I love the pick but pay up if anything. DURANT has paid his dues. With all due respect to CD

I'm sorry, but nothing at this point should be "handed to him" besides a playbook and bucket for him to spit into. That is THE main problem for this team and this franchise overall.

Go get 2. There are basically no famous Cowboys with that number. It's perfect for someone like Downs to own.

I can't believe they haven't arranged this yet.

I never understood this and maybe it's the same group of you all on Twitter and Facebook complaining who cares about the number no there is no should in the NFL if you're a rookie I don't care who you are you're gonna carry some water carry some jerseys and you get whatever number that's available or you pay whatever that will be paid in monetary value or services rendered like washing cars for a month I don't know however they figured out I don't wanna hear the complaining about what number they wearing on their chest it doesn't matter which by the way it will sort itself out because all these number updates they're gonna change again because after the 90 player cut down after the last preseason game whoever's cut off this team there'll be numbers out there and one of these guys might take that number and then whatever number he might want on there..


I really don't understand the obsession with what number they're wearing and that you say they should get either one no if the monetary value is acceptable or whatever the terms might be sure he'll get one But again rookies do not have the power I don't care what their names are that's not how it works you're saying hooker should give his up that dude been playing in the NFL for how long I believe he was also a first round pick He may even came from the same place..


Don't worry about such things Just go out and play and then whatever else happens I don't care..

Yes for preseason but after preseason and cut downs there'll be other numbers available and maybe someone will give up the number he wants for whatever it costs he's not entitled to it... I'm not sure why everyone needs to worry about this there's too much talk about numbers...

Hell back in my Pop Warner (late 70's) days I asked and got the #20 because I wanted to be a RB like Earl Campbell. My pops was a rabid Longhorns fan so we would go see him play at UT. I still got to pick my number even though I had speed of a snail and athleticism of Navil R. Johnson. *Please watch "The Jerk" to get that last reference* You'll love that movie. Lol

I agree! but at least he asked for the playbook? Most players just want their first check so they can buy that G-Wagon. LOL
