Calijah Kancey

They got to be better in free agency. It can’t be all about the draft.

Keion White is 6’4 280 and Tuli Tuipuloto is 6’4 285. I think both can rush inside situationally just as well as Kancey and both have position flex to DE. Don’t think it’s really all that close between those 2 and Kancey honestly.

White is a dude. No argument there. Tuli I’m not that high on. I think Kancey has far better get off and is the more athletic player. I think the Combine will confirm that. This is strictly as an interior player.

Curious on what his arms measure at. More important than a few inches in height if his arms are longer than a typical 5'11/6' player

That’s basically it. I think athletically he is going to test very well.

The more I think about this kid the more Im intrigued.

If he comes in at 6’0 / 280+ with decent arm length I’d be more intrigued. Heard he’ll run around a 4.7 which is absurd.

I’m really a fan of the kid. But I know that if he measures under 6 and has short arms his stock will drop dramatically.

Not saying he's the next Donald, but it's something.

The arm length is less than desirable. But at 26 he’s definitely on my radar and I’d be shocked if he’s not 1 of our visits. He possesses many of the traits you look for in a high quality 3T; get off, movement, and terrific hand usage.

Yeah, his arms are 2” shorter than Donald’s. That’s not great for a DT. Moro Ojomo has 34” arms and good 3T size and could possibly be had in the 4th.

SMH

Absolutely no to any 6'0" way undersized player at DT. Are you guys kidding? This guy will get blown off the line in the run game of the NFL.

In the game of leverage height isn't the end all. He just needs to get lower than the G/C in front of him. The bigger issue is his arm length than height. Hard to win battles if the OL can get hands on your chest while you are swatting at air lol.

Absolutely you can go with that player in a later round. He’s just not as good a prospect.

Kancey is unbelievably fast and explosive and totally relentless. The Donald comparisons are inevitable b/c Pitt, but when you see Kancey flying around, it's hard to think of anyone else.

Ofc, he is unbelievably fast because he is unbelievably small, and the $64,000 question is if he'll be able to get by in the pros with that lack of size. I honestly don't have an answer to that.

Dallas has shown a willingness to draft a similar guy in Osa, so stay tuned.
But do they need 2 guys like that. That's the question.

I just see him getting destroyed in the run game with his length. 26 is just too rich for me.

He’s probably a situational nickel rusher at best IMO.

There are a lot of pros and cons on this guy but I believe someone is going to take him in the first round hoping he is the next Aaron Donald, or even 90% of Aaron Donald. I am curious to see what he does in the bench press, if he participates.

But his game seems to be all about quickness. If he gets off quicker than NFL offensive linemen then his size and arm length won't matter that much. But to be Aaron Donald-like, he needs upper body strength too.

I would probably not take him in the first only because the likelihood he is another Aaron Donald is slim. If the Cowboys are going to pick a DT in the first round for the first time since 1991, he better be a sure thing.
