Call me crazy, but I think the Giants will be better than we expect

Hahahaha sorry man I just don't see it. Washington's Jayden Daniels is on his way to being on the same level as Mahomes.
Eh, that’s your problem.

You’re overating Daniels.

He’s really good but he’s more in the Hurts / Dak category than he is the Mahomes / Allen category.

Washington has 5 good years coming though with Daniels being on a rookie contract.

Not even close. Daniels can sling the ball much better than Dak or hurts. With an improved WR core this season, he's going to be tough to stop.

I agree. They will be a better team.
Can they get much worse than what we've seen the last 5 years. They have much more ground to make up than the Cowboys in the race to even mediocrity. Cowboys will be a much better team than the 2024 disaster and can even challenge for the NFCE.
The VaGiants and the Cowboys have similar issues in that our problems both come from the top but our top has proven to be much better than theirs.

Their organization (which is where winning and excellence resides) since 2017 has won 3 games twice, 4 games twice, 5 games once, and 6 games twice while only one season above .500 (9 wins). This is the essence of suck ! And we were all so disappointed at only a 7 win season in 2024 and rightfully so.

You do realize that our 3 in a row 12 win seasons from 2021-2023 most VaGiant fans would kill for??? Their organization does and has sucked badly since winning a SB in 2011 (which I would give my left ______ to be able to claim). Until they prove they are capable of excellence I worry very little about them.

Of course we do have the perennial suck team in the Washington Commodes that played for the NFCCG last year . . . butttt, this was after changing their upper management. NYG are still under the same mismanagement umbrella. They will still swerve into the suck lane !

Dallas & Washington are competing for 2nd.
Dallas and Washington will be competing for 1st place in the division. The 20 year trend of no repeat division winners continues, and whoever has the better record between the Commanders and the Cowboys will win the NFC East. Eagles will fight for 2nd place with whichever of those teams has the worse record. Giants will hang in there for the first 8 weeks then fall off.

Barkley or Hurts will have to get injured and that is very possible with their style of football.

The only year they were decent was the year I said they'd surprise. And that entire season everyone insisted they were overachievers, and they were. But that's what I said they be.

If not for one reason only, they have QB's that can at least win them some games. The QB's have some guys to throw it to; their defense has some solid pieces. It's easy to say they're going to be the worst team without seeing them play. I won't be surprised if they pull out a few more wins and shock the league.

Please be advised i'm speaking in a division rivals voice, not a hater of the Cowboys  , please give your thou
You're spot on, that's why I believe the Boys could be bringing up the rear in the Eastern Div. There is no way with Prescott, the Boys battle for the Eastern Div. this year, NO WAY!

I might be but from what I saw watching his games last year he just looked so calm among the storm. Not only that but was smart enough to use his speed to buy him time. Was accurate and clutch in the RedZone.

Yeah so did Dak as a rookie.

I really like Daniels. He’s good. But he’s not one of them guys.

He’s a better Hurts.

Nope they will not make the playoffs! Easily could had lost 5 more games last year had all the luck on their side!

I will comply with your request, sir. You are crazy. I don't really believe that, but I do believe the giants will get pounded by its three divisional foes this season. 6 losses. That's not getting better.
Competitive can we at least agree? Problem was not having a sound QB, they have 3 now, well 2 that we know who have NFL experience

I think some of you may be forgetting that we were 7-10 last year, including 3-5 w/ our starting QB playing. And we're losing some good players, to be seen if we've replaced them adequately.

Giants had three 3 point losses last season, and 8 of their losses were by less than 10. And that w/ terrible QB play.

I'm not proclaiming them as the next coming by any means, but they added a ton of talent that points toward them not being the patsies that they have been. To be seen.
You seem to forget Dallas was a weird special teams play away from being in the hunt for the final playoff spot with all the injuries and Rush at quarterback. CeeDee was missing as well. The Cowboys could finish anywhere from first to last next season in the East and it wouldn’t surprise anyone.

The NFC East is much closer than most realize. The Eagles had injury luck on their side last season. I don’t expect them to have that this season. Plus they lost 3 of their top 5 defensive linemen in free agency.

The Giants prospects are about the quarterback. After watching Russ, Winston, and Dart play the last few seasons. Let’s just say I wouldn’t bet my mortgage on them getting out of the seller.

One QB could have/should have been taken 1 while the other was last in Rd 1. There is a good reason for this. I am curious as to how he is like Dak in your mind? The arm? The legs (at least he has 2 functional ones)? Dak was a 4th Rd pick for a reason, so how on earth can you compare them?

It’s just what I see his ceiling as.

I think Daniels is going to be right there sniffing the outside of the top 3.

To me he is a better Hurts. I think Hurts is a very limited QB but in the right system he can be really good.

I think Dak is better than Hurts but that could change at any time since Dak is getting older.

I think casual fan will disagree with me that Dak is better than Hurts but NFL people would agree.

I’d take Daniels over both going forward but Dak is still a little ahead of him for now but that could change soon.

Everyone thought Stroud was the best thing since toilet paper, then he cooled off.

Washington may well leap frog the Eagles, Dallas is outclassed by both. It’s not even close.

The problem is Hurts is apparently in the “right system”. On top of that, he seems to play better in games that count the most and prone to erratic play in games that don’t. Sort of the opposite of Dak.

NFC teams, particularly Dallas, Philly and New York, will be building defenses to deal with Daniels. Which is prudent. He’s easily the best QB in the division. Hurts can still deliver. He’s not as good as 10 or 12 NFL QBs. But he’s obviously “good enough”.
