What about the Cowboys signing LT this summer?

Instantly becomes a leader on the team, something we need. He would have the respect and credibility of the whole team.

He helps Romo and Witten be a leader on O.

He still has some game left. Most importantly, he will teach our 2 young backs in Felix and DeMarco the game. They never had a successful vet to learn from. Kind of like TO was to Miles.

In case of injury (which both have a history of) to Felix or DeMarco, he can fit in whether it be in the passing or running game. I know we have Tanner but he is way too inexperienced.

Finally, he is from DALLAS and would not cost much.

ummm where does it mention I do not like Romo...if anything this is to help Romo. Takes some pressure off him if anything

Call me crazy but I have no issues with it. I like a Vet presence in a deep position. He proved he can still be effective in NY and he will be nothing but a 3rd option and after last season I think Morris proved an old man can still be a viable option.

Agreed. I'd take LT over Phillip Tanner as a 3rd-string RB.

Why are people facepalming this? I like the idea and feel he'd be a good locker room presence, if he's cheap that is.

I like the idea of him filling those roles on our team. However, does LT feel that way too or does he feel he has more to offer a team.

I'd be ok with LT as an option I guess. I really want to see more of Tanner and what could be.

The thing with LT for me...I can't get the vision of him sulking on the bench in that one playoff game with the Chargers. Didn't get up at all to support his guys, just sulked with an overcoat on, kept his dark visor helmet on...meanwhile Rivers is out there running around on a torn ACL.

You know what, no thanks. Keep Sammy Morris instead if anything.

Signing an aging RB, which is not priority at the moment, is not going to fix the OL,DL,DB

This. Brought to you by the same people who think they should bring back Brooking.

I always wanted him to be a Cowboy, so I wouldn't mind bringing him in. Would hate to lose Tanner thought, because I believe he has a bright future.

No way. We need guys who have a future and Tanner could have a bright one. We are not an aging veteran leader away from the big game. Tanner has too much upside to give up on for a guy who will probably see very little of the field.

No...

Murray and Jones need reps, they don't need to sit on the sidelines and "learn" from Tomlinson...

Haven't we been down this road before with Keith Brooking?

No thanks.

They need to concentrate on upgrading the roster talent rather than wasting another roster spot on a washed up vet.
