Heck they tried to move up for Earl Thomas last year and the price was just too high.

It was last year after the draft.

They were wanting Earl Thomas or Mike Iupati. We just couldn't get up there because of the prices.


I think it was San Fran who we were trying to get a deal done with.

Yes, some football to look forward to. I'd be happy with Smith. I think we'll see more trades for picks this year than in years past with the expected rookie cap.

Draft is our only recourse to get our RT and we need to make sure we draft one who can play from game 1.I hope we dont do the same mistake we did last year with our FS where we thought Ball be the guy and he failed spectacularly .

I think we'll end up with Carimi in the first round. Whether that be in a trade up from the 2nd or trade down from #9.

I wouldnt book that.

We offered Arizona a really stupid deal in 1998. Jerry wanted to trade up for Andre Wadsworth and the sotry is he offered the Cards our 1st that yr (8th, Ellis) our 2nd (ended up being Flozelle Adams) and our 1999 1st to move into the Cards spot and take Wadsworth. The Cards owner and GM both said no.

We'd be offering them nowhere near that this time. They didnt ant to help us in 1998 when we offered the farm, I doubt they'll do it this time when we'll be offering considerably less.

Ok, so here's what I think might happen..

I think we trade down and pick up a 3rd (probably from Rams) and select Cameron Jordan, then trade back in the 1st round for Carimi or Solder with our 2nd and extra 3rd from the Rams.

Then we use our 3rd and 4th picks for a C/G and speedy WR like Gates...depending on who's left at those positions.

I think Huff is coming to Dallas and McCann should improve in his second year...so no safety or CB until the 5th and 6th IMO. A ILB like Michael Lockley from FAU would be a nice pickup in the 7th.
