Call your shot in February

I kinda have the feeling it's gonna be somebody totally unexpected a la DeMarcus Ware for some reason.

C Jordan at DE.

Cowboys really liked Alualu (sp?) last year in the Draft. From what I've been reading, Jordan appears to be an even better prospect.

Plus, given the holes on the DL with the multiple FAs, it makes sense.

Finally, Jordan is familiar playing in a 34 scheme, which is a plus.

Dream:peterson(Have to trade up to top 5)

Wishful Thinking: Miller(Not sure if he falls to 9)

Realistically: Prince(Most likely will be available and a solid pick)

Im feeling a trade down to grab B.Harris and an extra 2nd right about now.

Peterson if we decide to trade up.

Jordan or Quinn if we stay put.

OT if we trade down.

Honestly, not a freaking clue right now.

If I had to pick someone based on the little bit of information going around I would say Peterson.

Gut tells me Jordan.

Really up in the air about this one more then in past years.

I'm 50/50 between
a trade up to get Peterson

OR

standing pat, possibly trading down a few spots, and taking Tyron Smith

Peterson in trade up.

Miller/Quinn/Prince if we stay at 9.

OL/Jordan in trade down.

Prince is the ugly child no one wants to talk about. Even I, either by mistake or denial forget about him but everytime he is put in my face I'm reminded........odds are, that will be our pick if he gets by SF or they do something else to address the problem at CB.

Peterson will probably be the first pick in the draft.

Probably Cam Jordan if we stay put, although I'm not really enamored with him. I just don't like a top 10 pick on a 3-4 end.

I hope we don't just take Prince because we need a Corner.

I'd rather have the better prospect. Even if it's Marcel Dareus.

Why has everyone soured on Prince so much?

Prince Amukamra Scouting Report
By Matt McGuire

Strengths:
Excellent size and strength
Very good instincts
Playmaker
Very good ball skills
Nice awareness
Confident
Highly competitive
Smooth athlete
Impressive change of direction
Love his footwork
Instinctive
Fluid hips
Clutch
Plays very under control
Outstanding tackling technique
Best run support corner in 2011 Draft
Tough
Natural feel for the game
High talent level
Strong work ethic
Very consistent and productive
Overall skill set is rare

Weaknesses:
Still gets too high in backpedal
Hand usage in press man needs to be refined
Doesn't display a very good second gear in back half
Needs to prove he's still an elite corner without an elite pass rush (Ndamukong Suh) in 2011
Lacks elite speed

Summary: Amukamara could very well be the first corner drafted in 2011. He has a very nice talent level and he makes the most of it by being very competitive and not shying away from contact in run support. A couple things in his game could be fixed and he lacks elite speed, but there's enough here to the point where I believe Amukamara will be a top 16 pick in 2011 and could go as high as top eight.

Player Comparison: Antoine Winfield. Amukamara has a lot more size than Winfield, but these corners are both excellent in run support and are quite simply playmakers.

Scouting report doesn't sound that bad, and hes impressive in run support. That sounds like something that could be useful, no?

It's still too early, I'm going to give up on Patrick Peterson and stick with Marcel Dareus for now. I think the Cowboys are going to address the CB position in the 2nd round and look for somebody who's fallen through the cracks.

The little voice in the back of my head still hasn't shut up yet about trading down and picking up Ingram, and it's driving me crazy, but I'll stick with Marcel Dareus for a while.
