Just some useless trivia here. The re are only 4 QBs to pass for Over 3000 yards at least 12 times:
Elway
Marino
Manning
Favre

wait, wait, wait. your 16 so you really didn't see aikman play and most likely didn't watch too much football to see elway play and i know you didn't see bradshaw play and now you tell us that you have seen manning play what? like 4 times? how can we take your opinion on any of these players?

Most people ignore it or laugh at it cause he proves, at least once a day, that he has no clue about the history of Pro Football.

If people want to always use this argument I will use it here. When has he not had a #1 WR? When has he not had a dominent O-Line? He had a great run game for years, and always an above average D.

Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark current
Harrision and Wayne for years.

Ok. So then you're using that for Aikman as well, right? When exactly did he not have a #1 WR? His last year and a half in the league?

So we now have to downgrade the vast majority of his career cause he not only had Michael Irvin, and Jay but he also had one of the best O-Lines of all time and one of, if not the best, runningbacks of All-Time.

So, by your standards, yeah Aikman was good but clearly other guys were better cause they put up numbers and won games but did so without a #1 WR or any of that other stuff.

And you knock Manning for what he's got around him yet try and sing the praise that Bradshaw as just as good but you fail to mention the fact that he had two outstanding WR's, an outstanding O-Line, and outstanding RB on the offense, not to mention one of the most punishing defenses of all time.

But, yeah, lets just knock Manning for these things cause you like to show you're complete ignorance of great NFL QBing.

Like someone said if you're a QB for your team and you're goal is to do everything you can to be the best you can then you'd be doing yourself a real favor to watch Peyton Manning and do your best to get even half as good at everything that he's great at.

Of course you'll miss all that stuff cause you don't really watch him and you clearly don't have a clue about great QBing anyway.

Yeah because I forgot, again, that Superbowls are won by individuals and not teams.

By that process the discussion of GOAT is down to two QBs. Bradshaw and Joe Montana. I mean they only have 4 Superbowl rings and I guess, by your little comment up there, that means they did it on their own.

I would have argued that Manning was one of the best. But I believe that ones performance in the biggest game matters. He played poorly in his second attempt at getting a ring. Elway and Montana obviously better choice.

I can certainly understand that but how can you knock Manning for his poor play in his 2nd Superbowl appearance, after he's helped his team win won, but then say Elway is a better choice and completely disregard his 3 poor Superbowl performances prior him helping his team win 2 at the end?

If by mark you mean people able to appreciate that they have the privilege of watching the entire career of one of the greatest players in the history of the game, then yeah, I guess so.

I can't knock anybody for saying Elway is the best, QB, player, 1st pick, whatever. Until the last few years, I thought Elway was the best QB I'd ever seen, and right there with a few others as the best player of all time.

Who cares. We'll get out-voted by Packers/Steelers/49ers vote bots who have nothing better to do than sit around all day and skew poll results. They're the ACORN of the sports world as far as I'm concerned.

10 championship appearances in 10 seasons makes him the greatest of all time in my book and no I have never seen him play, QBs get judged by winning, he won. Alot.

Peyton on the other hand is 9-9 in the postseason, and has one superbowl ring but is hailed like he is a savior. He is all that, but he isn't all that with a bag of chips. that bag of chips being alot of post-season success. The above QB's had that(incl; Aikman and Bradshaw) they were all that and a bag of chips, Manning is just all that.

By your logic Dilfer was better than Romo. He won more in the postseason and he has a SB ring.

/sigh/ Romo will win 3 SB's before he hangs 'em up. I bet you it. Romo is the QB that impresses me the most, if I could fully emulate anyones style it would be his, his ability to extend a play when needed most is insanely impressive. Romo is the funnest QB to watch, not a guy who looks like herman munster who doesn't have any more mobility than a 78 year old woman.

Now to clarify for the people who take every word I say and quote it and say im ********; Im not saying Romo is better than Peyton Manning. Im saying he is more impressive, TO ME. I would rather play like Romo than Manning, Romo can do everything you ask a QB to do. Manning can throw accurately.

In the NFL, Graham's playoff record was 4-3.

and you realize romo plays like farve right? there is so much i wanna say but i just don't have time.

ill say this...your right...manning can throw accurately, but thats about the only thing right in your argument. yes romo is exciting to watch but if that is what makes you think makes a good QB then you don't have an appreciation for the position.

He can throw accurately, he can extend plays, he can do anything you ask a QB extremely well. Favre is a top 10 QB of all time. He is overrated though since some people say he is a top 3-5.

Hopefully Romo plays as long as Favre did too, Romo til '23.

No I just get furious when I turn on the TV and every 4/10 commercials involves the same person, for Billy Mays it was hilarious for Peyton Mannings its like go away.

Give me a break, as much as you like to hear yourself (or see yourself post) talk on this board you should be the last person *****ing about someone trying to be front and center.

Guess what, how you feel about Manning is how the majority of us feel when one of your posts infect a thread.
