Please. IMHO, Henry may not even be on the roster after March 1.

I have seen multiple postings on here, discussing moving Henry to FS.

In fact, here is one of his so-called grades...

Anthony Henry, C+ : Henry struggled toward the end of the season and it may have been due to the injured knee. Some people are going to want to give him a lower grade, but he was solid for the first ten games of the season. Just like a lot of guys on this defense he was often burned over the last six and he looked awful on a few occasions. With his size he was supposed to be a good 'bump and run' Cornerback, but his inability to 'run' kind of hurt him and he was trailing receivers a lot of the time. He wound up with a lot of tackles this season and that was probably more of a factor of teams not wanting to throw at Newman. I am on board with his moving to Free Safety. I think he can cover Tight Ends in man to man coverage and is easily big enough to come up in run support. A lot of Cornerbacks move to the Safety spot in their late 20's and it often prolongs their careers.

cornerback might move to free safety
By RICK HERRIN
STAR-TELEGRAM STAFF WRITER
Cornerback Anthony Henry might be moving to free safety, according to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

During his weekly radio show on KTCK/1310 AM The Ticket, Jones said the switch was a possibility and the 6-foot-1, 208 pound Henry has played the position before. A four-year starter for South Florida, Henry spent his first three years at free safety before moving to cornerback as a senior. He also played free safety in high school.

The move could help an area of concern for the Cowboys. Pro Bowl strong safety Roy Williams was beat multiple times in coverage and the Cowboys want him closer to the line to use his play-making ability.

If Henry is moved, the Cowboys will be in the market for a cornerback. Rookie Pat Watkins started the first six games at free safety and was benched, but regained his spot.

Henry has battled injuries since joining the Cowboys in 2005. He was slowed by a swollen bursar sac this season, but does not have structural damage. He dealt with groin and abdominal injuries in 2005 and missed four games.

Ken Lucas is Carolina's #1 corner

and Vasher is a product of the Bear's pass-rush IMO

but I pretty much agree w/ your assessment

ok, let's say you work at a company as a "fork-stocker" in the breakroom. If your boss comes to you and says, "well, those forks really seem to be poking holes in your hands...we're gonna move you to spoon-stocking duty!"

would you immediately run out going "OMG OMG i'm getting fired!!!"?

One was signed as a free agent who had proven he could play in this league the other a 5th round draft pick that was projected by most to be a 3rd round pick.

Henry willing to move to safety

BY MAC ENGEL

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

The agent for Cowboys cornerback Anthony Henry said he believes his client still has several good seasons left at the position, but would not object to a potential move to free safety.

Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones has said moving Henry from corner to safety is a possibility. Henry played some safety as a collegian at South Florida. A move there may give the Cowboys better coverage at the position that could allow strong safety Roy Williams to play closer to the line of scrimmage.

“We do believe Anthony has several years left as one of the league’s best cornerbacks,” said Henry’s agent, Jerrold Colton. “But if the Cowboys feel it would be best to move Anthony to safety, he would do it.”

Henry was one of the biggest reasons our secondary sucked so bad this year.

Since Henry has clearly played himself out of Corner, what is causing people to think he can play FS?

What makes you think that, you have to be seriously kidding right? Henry and Newman were one of the best in the NFL to me....

For the last time you agenda ridden idgit.

Henry is one of the top 2nd corners in the league. He gets burned like every CB in this league.

Get over it already.

He is getting paid like a number 1 corner not a number 2. If the owner is talking about switching then he is not a top anything at CB.
