Calling it now, our first round pick is...

Get with the times, my man... "Generational" now means just a very good player. There are now at least three or four of them in every single draft.
I think largely Cnuball is right though. I get it, what he's saying. Your right too. But I think we have 2 dudes, maybe 3 in this draft that when we look back after the 2025 season is over, we can say are generational. Not just very good. We will know pretty quick.

Strongly disagree…

There is a big difference between very good prospect, blue chip prospect and generational prospect.

Very big.

Luck was a good QB but I don't see generational there. Correct on the others. As far as generational , Peyton Manning was that. Elway, Aikman, Marino, Montana. I agree with you in the sense that this years crop , especially at QB, isn't outstanding. I truthfully would be ok if we didn't grab a QB to add. We have Milton, so I think that was our pick. Ok, what about the Michigan DTs, Grant, Graham?Graham would make me giddy if he fell to 12. To me, Jeanty is POTENTIALLY the one generational guy in the draft at his position. The other, Hunter. My only caveat with Jeanty is the level of competition he faced in the mountain West and the usage. He had a ton of workload. That's my concerns on him. Hunter is smallish. 185. Can he take the beating? How will a team use him and where? With both guys ya better have a great plan for them. I truthfully have no idea what we will do in the draft at 12. I guess let's just take bpa. No trade ups. But trade down?...let's roll. We need players. Sorry for the encyclopedia response lol. It's coffee fueled.
You have to think how they were evaluated as a prospect… not how they performed in the NFL to warrant it.

And I’m always going to be a BPA guy.

On that last sentence. That's always my way of thinking too. Just draft according to bpa. Follow the board.

I am assuming you meant Darius Robinson in the 2024 draft. Darius Alexander is a DT in this year's draft.

Anyway, I agree with you about Golden being a little early at 12, but if they cannot trade down I don't think Golden will be there at 44.

I also agree 12 is too soon for Hampton, especially in a draft full of good RBs.

But we can't predict who will be there at 12 and if there will be someone willing to trade up to Dallas's spot. They should have a choice of several good players if they cannot trade down.

For the last three years, the Cowboys first round pick has been the guy I absolutely hated and did not want them to draft.

2022: I hated Tyler Smith. The guys I wanted were Tyler Linderbaum or Jermaine Johnson

2023: I absolutely hated Mazi. I really wanted the Cowboys to take Nolan Smith, and would've been happy with LaPorta.

2024: Two of the only guys I disliked, in a completely loaded class, were Tyler Guyton and Darius Alexander. If I were GM, I would have turned down the Lions' trade offer and taken Terrion Arnold.

So clearly, the Jones family reads my forum posts and picks players just to piss me off. If they choose to spite me again this year, our 2025 first round pick will be:

Matthew Golden

For the Joneses reading this thread, I also really don't like Malaki Starks, and think Omarion Hampton would be a big reach in the top 15.
Wouldn't shock me at all if we trade up for Travis Hunter.

Zero generational players in this draft…and if there was wouldn’t fall to 12.
I tend to agree. If there is, I think it'll be someone not really expected to be generational.

This is the draft of solid players. Lots of them, hope we're smart enough to parttake.

I heard him say the like Burden a lot
I started this whole process thinking Burden was way overrated.

Now I think he's way underrated. Not sure what happened with the production, or if there is some off field stuff, but his style of play and speed of play translates way better to the pros than any of the others.

I prefer him and Egbuka to Tet and Golden.

Dallas should get him. They need the speed.
