I don't see the reason for the Jerry hate at this point... I want my Owner passionate. I'm glad he was angry getting locked out... I sure woulda been.
The buck stops at Jerry, he is the Boss, and like it or not, the GM. Whoever locked him out likely did it out of cowardice not wanting to hear about their failure tonight. but the outburst isn't what I want to talk about.

He isn't a perfect GM, but noone in the league is... we use hindsight to judge him under a microscope, but he makes some great moves. which we quickly ignore... He doesn't lose stars, he makes the moves to keep us competitive.. Clai and Carr are great examples... The GM has put loads of talent on this team... Then it is up to the coaches to translate talent to the field.

The only fault I will give Jerry in our recent failures is he put his faith in the wrong young up and comer... Garrett is terrible. I wouldn't say a move should have been made prior to now, that would have been too early, but at this point it is clear that the only bright spots on offense the past couple of seasons is Romo... when plays break down and he makes a big play, or when he takes the no huddle over and moves effortlessly down the field... when was the last time we said.. "Wow what a great play call!" or "What a well designed play" If Jerry doesn't make a move this offseason then I fault him as a GM... (in my opinion he needs to make Ryan the HC. He has done wonders with a decimated defensive unit.) If he does, I have a hard time saying the GM isn't pulling his weight more than most on our staff.

It is futile to keep arguing about Jerry because it will change nothing. So, me and many others go on to the next best option--Garrett. From there, it stems to Romo, OLine, etc, etc.

If you don't see it, I don't know what to say. Just accept it, the reasons are valid.

The obligatory "arguing about Jerry is futile" sentiment. What's funny about that is nothing we argue about is going to "change" anything. We can want Garrett fired or Romo gone but nothing we say here is going to effect change in those areas either. They will change when Jerry decides they will. And of course that won't change because as we have already established, arguing Jerry won't make him go away either. If we are only allowed to discuss things that we can change, this will be a pretty quiet place.

I hope you know what I mean. There is no point arguing about Jerry because that will not change.

We can bash Garrett and whoever else because there is a chance those things happen, so we get to vent.

But to keep bashing JJ is tiresome for me, he has proved that he is a mainstay at the top until further notice.

Arguing about Jerry here may not change anything, but it helps to vent. ;)

Yeah, I gotcha. I just think it's funny every time I read it.

OP: Where ya been since '96?? If he doesn't make a move this off-season? Serious? We are 2 games under 500 for the last 15 years. He is the only constant. He even said he should have fired himself, and you are defending?

wow

The people who sit up and make new threads about Jerry, just do it for attention

"Hey look at me, I hate Jerry"

If you are so sick of Jerry, then go do something about it. Because complaining will not change, he's the owner.

As fans complaining about a player or coach, ok maybe the owner might listen and fire them.

I say Jerry Jones is absolutely worthy of my hate.

I'm the most polite person in the world. If someone is playing their heart out I would never boo or degrade such a guy in a million years. Even if the results translate to 1-15.

What I denounce and spit on is bad character. Selfishness, irresponsibility...that kind of thing. And whether it's VanderJerk, T.O., PacMan, or Jerry Jones...I'll boo, hiss, denounce and rally the troops to do the same.

These are the type of creatures that bring humanity down.

I say:
To love humanity is to hate Jerry Jones.
To love the Cowboys is to hate Jerry Jones.
To love progress is to hate Jerry Jones.

I say we have a moral obligation to vilify, expose and oppose that man. Until he's gone.

He has *earned* his place as an enemy in Cowboy nation.

I dont "hate" Jerruh. But I've grown really weary of him. I view him more as a clown and delusional.

He has allowed this team to become a joke for years and robbed me of the joy of being a Cowboys fan for the most part. I'll always love the Cowboys. Im just pretty detached emotionally from them. I watch and root for them, but no longer have any expectations.

Hate Jerruh? No, not me. But I dont respect him any longer. And would be ecstatic if he was gone!

This should be stickied!! Exactly!

The sooner people realize that Jerry is about as consequential to this team's success as a mouse fart, everyone will have a lot fewer gastrointestinal problems.

I'm not buying into somebody purposedly locking Jerry out.

I just think for all of the complaining and whatever, Jerry is always going to be the GM of this team until he's dead.

So to me, the choice is simple. Give up being a fan of the team or hope that they do find the right coach and the right players that can work with Jerry to put forth a successful team. Otherwise, you're like the person who goes to the same restaurant for a big dinner each week and complains each time.

True, when Jerry says about winning a Super Bowl, "I wanna do it again" its gonna be his way if it happens. I really feel that he could not be happy winning if he doesnt get to do it his way. It would be a hollow victory for him.
