Calm Down and be Patient!

Be patient for what? Ole Jer told you a while ago he was gonna over pay Micah and that would be pretty good. That and some cast offs will be FA.
so what is "Overpaying," for Micah? Micah had already mentioned 40 million a month ago. So what is the dollar amount that is overpaying Micah?

We don't need to get into a bidding war with these other teams, this is exactly what's happening right now. Teams are spending stupid amounts of money on players JUST because it's free agency, it happens every year! We knew we weren't going to be active in the first wave, why get mad and lose ourselves in something we know was going to happen! When whatever wave hits us and hopefully there's still some decent players around, we will hopefully pounce down!!! Please give your thoughts
in other words, they don't want to work hard anymore like Roseman and the Washington GM are doing. We just cower in a fetal position until we can see the guy that nobody else wants. How has this worked out for the team since 1996? Since 2012? 4 playoff wins and 3 playoff wins respectively? Oh well, let's go back to the clearance rack. That's what got us those three wins.

Coog, I know you want to feel good about this, but this is what the front office does every year and we've seen how this movie plays out. Dallas will bring in low-cost free agents ($3 million or less) to make sure it has a body at each position, unless it already has a "capable" starter on the roster, and then try to get better through the draft. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting difference results is the definition of insanity.
So the Iggles did it last season, but besides them, who has been making these huge free agent signings and then went on to win a SB? Seeing how its Mahomes damn near every year now... who are the amazing free agents the Chiefs have brought in?

You have to remember that Stephen said they were going to be "Selectively Stupid, uh, I mean Aggressive" in Free Agency

Yes they to continue what they have been doing because it’s working.

There is nothing "Selective" about this front office's annual stupidity. For the first time in my life, I can honestly say, I'm starting to not give a **** about this team.

My thots say you have been sucked.

Every team that has made the Super Bowl in the past 10 years has supplemented its roster with quality free agent signings. That doesn't mean that they've gone out and signed all of the top free agents available, but it does mean that they have spent money in free agency.

In 2023, the Chiefs signed former Jacksonville second-round pick Jawaan Taylor to a four-year, $80 million deal to anchor their offensive line. They had a hole and they filled it with a costly piece. They added starting linebacker Drue Tranquill for relatively cheap, but $3 million is more than we have been willing to pay in free agency. (This year, we might go up to $3 million since the cap has increased.) S Justin Reid signed a three-year, $31 million deal in 2022 to leave Houston.

A few moves like those erase weak links and put you in position to contend while you are building through the draft. Again, you won't find a Super Bowl team in the past 10 years (and probably throughout the cap era) that has not done that.

But of course , he’s not gonna sign him now or a few weeks ago. He’s gonna wait so Micah can hold out , just like Dak and Lamb. Then over pay as they sit out training camp. Brilliance at work!! Same stupid formula that never works and ensures we over pay.

I’m as frustrated as the next fan, but I really don’t care because the only thing that’s going to bring about real change is rock bottom…and they are well on their way.

Coog, I luv ya, but, we have been patient enough. In fact, it's been decades!! I'm just really tired of doing diddly squat, while other teams are trying to improve.
Coog is young. He has not endured the 30 years of suffering like many of us. So he is still doe-eyed and hopeful. He is not mindful enough yet to stop falling for the annual okie doke from Jerry.
