Calm Down and be Patient!

Stephen is that you?
I tell ya, that Schotty press conference when Stephen said they have to do things differently and wanted to build the best roster in the league is not a good look for them at the moment. That "selectively aggressive" comment coming from Stephen (considering his history) told me everything I needed to know.

I've been patient for 30 years, and I don't expect us to win anything anyway.

Jerry will sell a lemon again, and we will stink again.

Rinse and repeat.

We don't need to get into a bidding war with these other teams, this is exactly what's happening right now. Teams are spending stupid amounts of money on players JUST because it's free agency, it happens every year! We knew we weren't going to be active in the first wave, why get mad and lose ourselves in something we know was going to happen! When whatever wave hits us and hopefully there's still some decent players around, we will hopefully pounce down!!! Please give your thoughts
Did you say the same thing this time last year?

And yet some fans will still open up wide and swallow the steaming turd Jerry and his dope of a son will shovel down their throat.

They are cheap. And they really don’t care about winning as much as they do the bottom line.
Preach!

Yes he did. He falls for the same okie doke from Jerry every year. Then the next season he goes full Oliver Twist for Jerry again with "Please Sir, I want some more."

Because when the FO sits there and does nothing, after the year they just had, it is a slap in the face to this fan base.

Not only did they not even look outside the building for a coaching staff, they dont look outside the building for new players.

Then again, they dont think there is a problem with how the team is run so, there is that.
All is peachy-keen in Jerry's world...

I think winning might be below some other things that are important to them as well. How much art they have in the stadium seems more important. I literally think those kind of things are of greater value to the Jones family than winning another Super Bowl. They hate us.

Chubby is done
Which is the only reason we might have an outside shot at signing him. I predicted that early on, but since have decided that he'll still be out of our price range. Look to backups who have shined some or players who are clearly on their last legs. With Chubb, I think some team will think he can return to at least close to his 5.0 form.

By the time we start bidding, 75% of the teams will be out of money and the war will be over.

I only expect a minor trade or two. Trades don't affect our comp picks. That is all Stephen cares about.

Lewis - potential 5th round comp pick
DLaw - potential 5th round comp pick

Stephen does not want to mess up the comp calculations by adding and free agents.
